Just wait for @Jaderose to respond :). I use frogs sparingly and I like the Scum Frog Trophy Series. Green and black have been good colors for me so far. Scum frogs rock.

I still feel like I am nowhere close to figuring out this sport. That being said, every year I look back at what I did the past year and think "wow, I was really dumb." Happens without fail. I expect every year to be better for me at least for a little while. It's been a great year so far. Catching something over 3lbs used to be an absolute anomaly for me

I think multiple action rods will work for the same style bait depending on what you are trying to do. There's an overall system between your rod, line, hooks, and drag setting. I agree that softer tip rods seem underrated to me. I refrain from saying more

Why fall in particular? I was already planning on yo-yoing a lipless offshore this coming weekend as lily pads have started to show signs of dying here. Dominant form of cover around here and it’s going away. Is your logic similar for fishing lipless deep in fall? Vegetation dying off, so fish pulling offshore looking for deeper grass?

I confess, I lost one to a lilypadzilla. Tried in vain to get it free. Pulled the line with my hands and it finally snapped. 15lb big game. Those pads are brutes man. Anyways, I won't hate on whopper ploppers I just don't like em. But buzzbaits are just really cool. Seems like you can have one that catches em really good and the more you use it, the better it gets. They just get that really eerie squeaking and squealing sound to em. Music to my ears.

Recently started standing in my kayak to fish. Pretty much do it always now unless real windy. I crouch, same as others, to land the fish. Better control over fish and hook sets while standing for me

Admittedly, I haven’t thrown lipless enough to know this myself, but I look for one knockers or silent lipless in lieu of strong rattling ones thanks for your comment
