  1. Bass can barely remember a straight tail worm on a shaky head. There are no negative cues at all, besides the visual appearance of a hook. They can note the worm’s size, its color, and perhaps how it moved. Since every angler cannot work a worm exactly the same, plastic worms are incredibly hard for bass to remember.
  2. @Pat Brown y’all will be taking turns. I will be waving around trying to get my lure out of a tree
  3. They are just the best, man. You owe it to yourself to try one 🐒
  4. @T-Billy might be short drive but I think you’re wired a little different, and not in a bad way at all. Everything I see from you tells me that you are a fisherman in the most ‘hunter’ way possible. Always out there in the elements, always on the hunt. Day or night. Nothing fancy - just grit.
  5. I’ve met @thediscochef and he a dawg
  6. Be entitled brats and not bite my lure I paid $15 bucks for and possibly tweaked myself
  7. Glenn you’ve got a little something to yourself on 3/4oz double Indiana’s. Not many people throw double Indiana’s and not many people throw spinnerbaits over 1/2oz. Nice video. Gear selection is personal preference. You like 7-7’3” MHF, fluorocarbon, and mid 6 speed reel. I like 6’10” MH(close to H)MF, monofilament, and 5 speed reel for most of my spinnerbait fishing, though I’ve discovered some niche little deals. I’m sure @king fisher likes something a little different and I’m sure @Pat Brown does too.
  8. I agree with 7+. Really looks like it could be pushing 8lbs. Fantastic fish for Missouri, congratulations!
  9. @Choporoz nice fishing! I forgot about that magnum bug on a swing head. You just reeling that thing slow?
  10. The route I have determined based on y’all’s helpful input is to go loop knot or tie regular knot. The right side of my brain continues to disappoint me.
  11. @gimruis it’s okay, officer. At the moment there is no beer police
  12. What split ring do you recommend, if you recommend one at all?
  13. What if grass ain’t thick? You really think the split ring is going to weigh the frog down that much? I have some frogs that are butt-weighted, too. The split ring will offset these weights
  14. The right side of my brain managed to contribute something for once. Here’s my idea. Frogs are hard for me to walk. What if I add a split ring? Spro power rings rated for 50#? Any risk of these rings cutting into braid palomar?
  15. Good way to get more distance while maintaining a soft entry. Some people think it looks silly to be roll casting all day. Looks like you’re trying to impress someone. It’s just a great way to be a little quieter.
  16. Somewhere along the line I learned about Darn Tough Socks. If you are a hunter, hiker, runner, or in the military, check out darn tough socks. You may find something you like. They come with a warranty. Advertised to be the ‘toughest socks you’ll ever own’. They are a little pricey. I don’t own many but they are comfortable and seem very resistant to moisture.
  17. Fishing in the summer here in TX is no joke. If I brave a day trip, I bring 2 gallons of water. I've drank up to 1.5 gallons before. If it's a pleasant night trip (much preferred), I bring one gallon.
  18. @Pat Brown I gotchu. Heavy t-rig on baitcaster isn’t called situational for us Stillhouse lurkers. It’s called a Tuesday. Hydrilla has a lot to do with that
  19. I spend a lot of time close quarters fishing with a jig and very little with a t rig which is certainly a mistake. But I do like a gambler burner craw by itself and think I should spend more time with the Yamamoto Flappin Hog, Yamamoto Ichi Worm, and Rage Tail Lobster
  20. You ain’t from around here, are ya
  21. I would very much like to catch a 2lb smallmouth
  22. I bid tree fiddy in monopoly cash
