Honestly, in my looking lately NADA has been low with their prices. I just bought a 2004 Carolina Skiff with 2004 30 hp Tohatsu 4 Stroke and 2004 trailer and total retail for the whole package is like $2500. I know for a fact that a 2004 Skiff is worth more than $2500. Most that I see on craigslist are about $5000.

I vaguely remember going Bass fishing with my dad when I was probably around 8 or 10 years old but we didn't go very often. Then in the 90's here in central florida the thing to do was go red fishing. My dad and I started red fishing every weekend and it was a blast. We fished every weekend rain or shine, hot or cold for probably 5 years until I was about 16. The red fishing started to get old and my dad and I quit fishing as much and I was getting more serious about playing sports, baseball year round, so we didn't have much time to fish anymore. Then me and a good friend started bank fishing in this awesome pond down the street from our house. Since then I have been hooked except for a couple years while I was in college. Now I bass fish probably 3 or 4 times a month.

I'm hoping the engine is still in good shape. It looks brand new. I am kind of clueless when it comes to engines, especially the 4 strokes. I was looking online and it said this model has 3 carbs. I'm hoping it doesn't need much more than an impeller. I have never had a 4 stroke and i'm kind of confused about the oil. I have always had engines that used a pre-mix. Any help here would be appreciated. I am very excited about the boat.

if you want to fish the stick marsh you can camp at donal mcdonald camp ground. It is a little expensive but it is on the Indian River (salt water) and has showers and it about 20 minutes from the marsh.

I bought a boat today. I got a 2004 Carolina Skiff J16 with a 2004 Tohatsu 30hp Remote Steer with power tilt and trim. The boat is set up for Bass fishing. It has the large front deck and back deck with dual livewells and bottom line sidefinder depth finder. The boat needs a little bit of work. It hasn't been run in about a year so I have to get the motor running and boat it self cleaned out and washed but I bought it from a friend that said the boat ran the last time he had it out and I trust him. Now for the best part. His mom just wanted to get it out of her front yard so she sold for $750. I am so excited. The hull and trailer is worth more than that alone.

My dad made a transom saver out of a 2x6. He cut the end that fits against the trailer to fit into the bracket that hold the last roller and cut a V into the the end that hold the motor and then we use a bungee cord to wrap from the trailer around the motor and then back to the trailer. It is a really easy thing to do and works just like a regular transom saver and costs less especially if you already have the wood.

I think they look awesome, I would buy some of those.

YOu can watch all the AAA games you want but you will still be seeing guys that are on the juice or were on the juice during the off season. Football also has guys doing steriods. Shawn Merriman was recently suspended for steroid use. Bill Romanowski ring a bell. All those basketball players some of them are doing steroids also, it just hasn't been brought to the light yet. If you are going to swear off MLB you might as well swear off all professional sports all together. Including tennis, you can't tell me Venus Williams isn't doing steriods or hasn't done steroids in the past. Baseball is america's past time and will continue to be for years to come. I will continue to be a baseball fan and will watch multiple games this year.

I use the bubble boxes that run on two D batteries and havne't lost a fish in 3 years of tournament fishing.

I fish tournament and my boat doesn't have a livewell. I have converted a regular size 96 quart cooler. Go buy two battery operated bubble boxes from wal-mart. Drill holes in the lid put tubes through holes fill with water and turn bubble boxes on. I have kept a 5 bass limit alive all day using this set up. Becuase the cooler is insulated it keeps the water cool all day when in the hot sun.

I bought a cheap $20 pair from BPS and they are just as good as my $80 Anarchy polarized glasses. I bought the $20 pair so I didn't have to worry about losing my Anarchy's in the water.

With the set up I suggested, you can also leave everything in the boat.

I have done this to my jon boat so I could roll it from my house down to the water probably 100yards. Get a normal dolly the one with the extra wheels on the top so when you lay it down it is level. Put the boat on top and strap it down with some tie downs. It works really well. Just make sure you get a dolly that has the inflatable wheels. It isn't permanent but it works really well.

Alger, were you guys able to run in the morning. We headed south and could barely idle it was so foggy that morning. We couldn't see 15 feet in front of us.

I'm not sure where the guy from our tournament caught his 9.8 lber but I know he didn't run to any of the springs unless he went to Deleon Springs. I will post a picture of the 9.8 lber when I get the picture off my camera.

I throw my jerkbaits and most of my topwater with the exception of frogs on a spinning reel. It puts the rod in my right hand so I can have better control of the bait.

Glad you did well. I had a tournament out of the same ramp on Saturday. We were the Deltona Small Boat Club. Our first place had about 16lbs with a 9.8lb kicker. We caught one short fish all day.

A picture of the bow of the boat would be helpful. I rigged something up for my boat but I have a front deck.

Wow, that was terrible, I think it is time lil' wayne gives up the d**n voice changing machine he uses on every song. It is really annoying now.
