I need a shore-fishing “holster “
walking bank and casting. Catching a good fish is the wrong time to wonder,” hmmm, now where did i put my pliers”. I was thinking of finding a holster to carry some gear. Pliers, spare trebles, fish grippers, etc. snack… seen any good ones?

Procyon AL
I have one. Brought it with me to Oklahoma. I love it. It feels way more robust than the Tatula, which I also brought along.

Peet’s Major Dickason’s
Love it! i one ordered it as “I would like major Dick’s” she replied,”don’t we all?” awkward. But funny. Now I use the full name.

100% I don’t judge either. You don’t assume the person in line is anything. Just commenting to the above that said …. Either way. I don’t pretend to know peoples circumstances.

Eyeopening Trip to Bass Pro Shop
Some people just want free stuff. They don’t check if you’re actually needy. My friend hands out good at food bank. It’s no questions asked. He said everyone shows up for free stuff.

anyone use their travel rods more as a "full time" rod?
i fully expected to have some fish-slime on my newest rod,, by now. it is a travel version. but some odd health thing where air refused to go thru my nose, grounded me. haha. mouth breathing isnt my thing. anyway, tomorrow. tomorrow evening should be the maiden voyage. i will be in Oklahoma flinging 3/4 oz walking baits to stripers. one week of real life testing. i think after that, i may just keep it together, and jab it into one of my kayak rod holders and harass some local LMB with it. i assume i might need to take it apart occasionally so it wont lock together? then later in the year, the real test. Amazon River Peacocks. so i dont want to break it during the year. anyone more full timing their travel gear? ( i just pulled reels from my home arsenal for the trips - i am not buying trip dedicated reels) Rod is my MegaBass Triza Dragoon.

I’m 80% packed. Baits/lures are getting checked with clothing. Now I’m bringing too much clothes since I now have the space. Reels and travel rod as carry on. Along with electronics and GoPro. I got the Madelorian downloaded. Bose headphones charged. Let’s do this. thx.

are you retired? do you fish ALL the time?
my friend and coworker inherited well. San Fran real estate magitude stuff. he wants to retire this year. at 55. but he is worried. all of us will still need to work and he expect he will be lonely. he has wife and kids, but she wont retire and his kid is in school. we wont be able to hang out with him. hahahha.. we wants to drive to Alaska with me, but i gotta work, dude!! you all have given me a wide spectrum of perspectives. i appreciate every word. thanks. right now, i think i will focus on vacationing well. i wont retire with a huge vacation balance that needs a cash payout. i am not dying without seeing and experiencing the world more.

weapons of Bass-Destruction. lures in carry on luggage!
it just dawned on me that my baits may be flagged by TSA. dang it!! i will probably check a bag just in case. anyone ever successfully bring a bag of topwaters and Megabass Freestyles onto a plane? i dont think i want to risk my baits.

No electronics and why.
my bassboat bud uses the map only to not get lost on the CA-Delta. if you are casting to cover, what is under you plays very little into the scenario IMHO. i just look at my kayak speed and water temps mostly. bums me out my temp is malfunctioning. if it was winter and i was looking for bait balls and off shore school..yea maybe.

my EASTER got dark. really dark.
i'm in a pretty good mood. they are mixing the stucco patch stuff right now to seal in the hole. they did a tidy job. cut neat lines, and cleaned as they went. it was a "hallelujah" moment when i heard the electricity come on. PG&E was on it and came immediately to do the connection and sign off on the permit. it is techically behind me. all that is left is cure the stucco, and find the best paint match i can. (meh..house is getting full paint soon.

Live target adult trout
that is not enough rod. i've done miracles with a below sized rod, but it took major body-english to deli.... nevermind. this was going sideways quick.

Finally something new that really works
the older generation has been side-eyeing the younger generation since the loin cloth, i imagine. all for what they wear and now they keep their hair. personally, i dont care much about any of it. i do question that prison-fashion where they all let the pants hang way down below their butts. they cant even walk correctly. that is a function question, not a fashion question in my mind.

Karens & Kens confronting you when fishing!

Seaguar BasiX - Have you tried it lately?

Eyeopening Trip to Bass Pro Shop
i knew a prepper. put all his energy and money into prepping. he bought a shipping container he was planning on burying. he got into money trouble and had to liquidate prepping stuff to pay bills. it was a bummer. he planned for the wrong emergency.
