i just listened to a podcast about profanity. the history, the developement, the transition of the use in common language. it was super interesting. i am 0% offended by it. not if it isnt directed at me directly..or my loved ones. i rarely use it in anger if ever, but i have been known to sprinkle it throughout a conversation for..."color". i know when not to use it, like last week's supervisor meeting. but one time, i could have really used a bomb from the F-word. hahah.. it is amazing the history of the process. why it is called a "swear" word. now, less so. it's just profanity. i'm just old enough to kinda remember it showing up in movie scripts. you?

oh no!!! i wonder if a PFD would have even saved her? maybe aided in the recovery? my thoughts go way out for the friends and family.

i was gonna go thurday with rain gear, but my other woman Sylvia is visiting me. she is our cleaning person, and she is a badass. clean house myself? or let Sylvia at it. i can fish FRIDAY. less chance of rain anyways. hahahha... LIFE. life is dirty.

at least it isnt work and life keeping you from fishing. weather gets better we got blasted by rain, then GREAT weather, but work from the past rain destroyed things which ramped up work. now things are getting back to normal, and i plan on going fishing, plus my wife will be out of town..guess what? it is RAINING!!! but again, weather gets better. hahhahaha

I could do a month at foreign destinations. Hell, I’ll know phrases. I almost turned Thai in a month.

i suck in timber. i use a texas rigged worm or creature and i add a punch skirt. my jigs all have a strange gravitational pull to the parts of timber that will snag. my worm is way less prone to jam up. to my eyes, they look kinda the same.

i use two lines and two leaders. i got this.

i was rigging lures and freshening leader knots last night. wife was packing. she said, "you're fishing?". yea..thurday. "but i will be go.... have fun, the fish wont catch themselves" i said, unless there is a great Paris fishing rod sale on a MegaBass Windbuster, not to bring me any gifts. no berets. Louie-V wallets, etc. hahahha.. she didnt laugh in return. in reality, one of the ladies that is traveling with my wife. her husband is my friend with the Bass Boat. YEEEHAW!!!!

its not all loud guns, motorcycles, rock concerts, etc. my left ear is the weaker ear. doc said it is from my youth driving around on the freeways with the side window opened. the wind noise! all because my 1971 camaro didnt have AC, in the southwest. when i rode my motorcycle, it was uncomfortable without earplugs. exhausting almost.

Wednesday. i will take my wife, pick up her best friend, drive them to the San Fransisco airport, drop them off. (maybe after a nice lunch) and send them to Paris for a wonderful girl trip. 3 weeks of me running the show at home. on the way home, i will stop at Hi's Tackle shop to see what they have on the shelves. Thursday...i will be on a mental holiday, floating around either the California Delta or Clearlake fishing what is left of my spring season. hahaha.. Friday, if i can get my boss to cooperate, i will be doing something VERY SIMILAR. i am tasked with keeping our dog and cat alive, so i wont be doing any overnighters at New Melones, or Lake Shasta. Saturday, Sunday? hahahha...you know it. if i was smart, i would take a Stay-Cation for a week.

i have the phenix feather. decent rod. i havent fully embraced the BFS thing, but when i use it is fine.

Tinnitus? I recently had my hearing tested. I thought it was bad, but the doc said I’m doing fine. She said I barely lost anything. The slight ringing, yea. Mine comes and goes. I notice it when I’m in a really quiet setting. First time I was in a deer stand. Scared me. I wear ear plugs 100% now. I’m not willing to let it get worse. Good luck.

Just went and looked at a new Tacoma. It was nice. Poked my head into the next generation of Tundra and it totally blew a cool and delightful breeze up my pant legs. It was spectacular!!!

True. The head shakes get that mass swinging and offer big bass the leverage needed to get free. Seen it with my own eyes.

I got my truck back. The rear most u-joint was barely there. I felt I lubed them regularly, but now I am not so sure. The center carrier bearing was toast and was probably the culprit for the squeaky noise in reverse. I know basic auto repair but I seem to ha be less time and motivation these days. The new Tacoma should start showing up end of this year. I can wait. we just bought a Tesla for the wife. For years we paid ourselves the car payment which affords us the occasional new car without payments. It will be close if i need a truck this Dec. I’m holding out and saving more. Mid 2024 would be more comfortable for sure.

i once caught a decent bass on Clearlake. i was near some nice homes. after i boated the bass, a home owner came out and said, that i sounded like i just orgasmed. hahah.. he said that must have been quite the fish. (it wasnt) my friends busted my chops all darn day.

nobody in my life would ever describe me as being frugal. if it wasnt for my wife, i wouldnt ever be able to retire because i own something stupid. my truck is a 2006, and i bought it used in 2008. luckily it is a Toyota Tacoma, so reliability is almost magical. but at 220,000 miles things are starting to fail. it is currently in the shop having the rear driveshaft fully rebuilt. its in good shape, but it could use some paint respray, and some minor body work. my wife thinks i should just go and buy a new Tacoma. there are plenty on the lots around here. i hope i can keep my truck on the road until i can at least see what the next gen looks like. maybe even a hybrid version. my mechanic said there is always a couple of people trying to buy my truck when it is at his shop. two more years. that is my goal. i have never owned a truck longer than 10 years. this thing has been a happy exception.

i think it spits a tiny bit of water? i tried to steal my friend's but he caught onto my wily ways rather quickly.
