  1. You go Glenn. Haha. Awesome.
  2. I'm over my GoPro. all my batteries are swollen messes. I cant even find them in stock right now. I think I am going to move over to DGI. it seems very feature rich. I think I just want the DGi 4. save some $. any real world reviews? the long battery run time is almost enough for me to buy!
  3. A jay..I was quoting the start of an old joke. hahah.. hoped you did the punch line..but nope. carry on please.
  4. how do you know if a person works out?
  5. wait. you went into the lane closure?
  6. nope. I'm not one of those, "a bad day of fishing is better than a day of work" people. But I dont sweat the details...sometimes the fish just act sucky towards me. hahah. I've had some awesome work days. hahaha..
  7. right or wrong..I still cringe seeing a bass laying on grass. that cant be comfortable.
  8. I think with that setup you can throw all the topwater except maybe the heavier stuff like a full sized plopper or walking bait. anything 1/2 oz is fair game. you dont mention line. braid? I hope so. I throw a 1/2 and smaller popper. the megabass popX and popmax on spinning gear. I like the distance and..okay I like the distance with the spinning. EDIT. you're finding your thing...I take it back. throw anything you want and hope to work. what actually works and you like, will illuminate itself fairly quickly. hahahha

I too own the red corded one. my MIL actually gave it to me when she moved to Taiwan.
  10. I honestly tried and successfully performed an exercise I call the “FG-knot”. Twice. I just had this nagging feeling that I really should go with my best, and well tied knot. The Alberto. 50lb braid > 20ln flouro top-shot > 20lb mono bounce-ball rig behind a series of really strong swivels. My 6oz sinker dangled from a 10LB mono piece in hopes it snaps first. I used Loon line adhesive to bolster my knot. I apply the glue as the knot moisturizer instead of saliva. (Yea, I used moist) when you snag bottom in the ocean, it’s almost a panic worthy situation. It is like an anchor to a kayak. It almost flipped me. I line up my kayak, look at my fish finder and try to determine which way the snag happened and try to pull it out the other way. And then I pedal and pull. It’s astounding how much effort it took. I broke off 5x. Lost everything. But my topshot knot never failed. The leader got shorter and shorter. If tie on a new ball swivel and repeat. it’s a good knot for me. I have great muscle memory for that knot and it’s fairly tiny. I shoots thru the guides. A big heavy weight will drag any knot thru really. I’m not casting it anyways. Loon glue is my insurance policy. I learned the knot from my bud Justin. He uses it for big tuna.
  11. I fish quite often. I try not to touch anything. I’ll retire leaders and baits us, but not always.
  12. I need a bigger boat. My kayak felt so insignificant in the ocean. but… we got some yummy fish. I had to toss them up front because a seal came at them. Scared the stuff right out of me. I had them dangling in the water.
  13. I have line of the same time. Just got it mail order from phx. Yup them. No issues. 12 and 14lb. Burned thru the 14 in Mexico because I was a backlash expert in my excitement about to order more. I’m wary of the recent complaints but until I see them myself……
  14. Just trust me on this one. Gaffers tape! I rigged up some sinkers w 10lb leader. I wrapped the line around the weight and taped it. I’m ready to unroll it and drop it into the ocean. leftover line on spools. No-brainer.
  15. Time on the water. And lots of casting.
  16. my friend just runs the line thru and starts cranking. no knot.
  17. Mike is my dude as well. I sent in a reel that I had somebody else do.. Mike plumbed it up. I wish I was a Web guy. I would love to make that form you have to fill in, editable from the web. would streamline things up a bit. last time, I wrote it all on a sheet of paper, and it was fine.
  18. this. I would like to up that ante and say I cook more than I need. I put one in a ziplock and eat it cold the next day. it is almost better as a leftover. cold. hahahhaha.. have you no shame? (let me know what he says)
  19. you all recognize the reel? I am not an avid gear junkie where I can ID everything yet. the rod, I could read the label.
  20. I saw an OLD TOWN blast past me. I caught up eventually and asked. he said he was nervous of being undermanned and bought the NK300 for his 12foot kayak. he was so fast!! I have the 180, and my speed record was 6mph.. for fun. for real life, I go 50% juice and still kick with my feet. 5mph all day lone. the new Garmin is rarified air for me. $4500 all in with a fancy battery is a non starter. that is where I say..(hahha). "why not just buy a boat?"
  21. any tax benefits? like can I write off my truck, kayaks, and all my tackle?
  22. ^^^ what a great movie!! in your mind..which one is male, which one female (!!!!) hahahha...what a description?! Day 4 (5?) of running in my new kicks. Loving them. I almost tripped on flat earth on the first few strides because they feel so different. But I’m adjusted.
  23. The sound of a perfectly skipped bait ranks up there with good golf ball hit, “nothing but net” basketball swish, the clap of an arrow on arrow Robin Hood shot.
