  1. It looks like it has an ice skate "blade" on the front of it. Is that the ultra reinforced line tie? Also, how big are the hooks on this thing?
  2. I've been on here 10 minutes today!
  3. @TingTingEightSix Nice fish!!! What did you catch that little guy on?
  4. Yikes. That happens when my nails are short. I got some lures from a buddy, and he used split ring pliers to open his split rings, and a lot of the split rings were bent and open a little bit instead of laying flat. If I can use my nails I will, if not I'll use another hook to open the ring.

I think you're thinking of Daisuke Aoki. https://www.bassmaster.com/slideshow/top-lures-douglas-lake-1#slide4
  6. Your body grows a split ring opener, it's called your fingernail! God gave us fingernails for a reason.
  7. Vision 110's are great, but don't have the best durability for $25 bait. If you treat them right they won't break, don't jerk them against rocks, and don't hit them against the water to get grass off. Lucky Craft pointers 78 pointers are awesome, I got my first jerkbait fish ever on this one! Lucky Strike makes a Rick Clunn jerkbait, but they need some suspend strips since they float. I would go with the Lucky craft 78 or Vision 110, on 10 pound line, on a medium action rod, 6.8:1 gear ratio reel. https://discounttackle.com/products/lucky-craft-pointer-78-suspending-jerkbait?_pos=2&_sid=3e8ee5f56&_ss=r https://discounttackle.com/products/megabass-ito-vision-110?_pos=1&_sid=c2e82337f&_ss=r

  11. Thanks for the info! You ever used them for those man eating catfish that are supposed to be at the dam at wyco? ?
  12. Cool, didn't know that! Might have to try that sometime, if I ever get out to do some flathead fishing. You catch anything on them? Bass typically have bigger size limits than gills so do they get munched as easily, or do they work better for bigger flatheads?
