Stuff happens. If the reel still works as it should… not a big deal. do yourself a favour and don’t get a 21 zillion sv. They’ll scratch just from looking at them. LoL. But they’re one heckuva a reel!

Googled up a pic of your new fishing outfit.

Well you can get some really good deep woods spray that repellents mosquitos and ticks and get a good spray around you. You can also bubble wrap yourself pretty good and remove it when you get to your fishing spot. Or possibly a set of coveralls to wear through there. Remove and shake off good and then put back on when ready to hike back. Also maybe make a good pair of boxers out of duct tape as a fortress for the unmentionables.

Never tried a toad face. Always wanted too. Almost got my hands on one and the guy changed his mind last min. Heard they’re great though! ??

An even better reel than what I had. LoL. I used it for everything. Fished it on the float tube a bunch and just from shore so the shorter rod helped a lot. Used it mainly for Texas rigged worms, chatterbaits, small hollowbody frogs and lipless cranks. It did it all well.

such a fun rod. I regret selling mine. You should enjoy this one a lot. I had mine paired with an Abu mgx 2. Was an insanely light combo.

Rats are smarter than people give them credit for. Quite impressive when you can train them. I had a friend that had a bunch of rats and they were all trained pretty well. It was neat.

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate it. I have a frog rod for the thick stuff. Was looking for something along the edges to toss hollow bodies. Also looking for an excuse to try an IMX pro. LoL. I know they’re probably better as contact rods but I do love frog rods. ??‍♂️

Always in the market to try new frog rods since hollow body’s are my fav lures to toss. Came across a good deal on an IMX pro 884c. Not much info out there on this rods. I’m guessing they aren’t very popular. ??‍♂️. Anyone out there have any real world experience or insight to offer on this rod? Thanks in Advance.

I just picked up a zillion HD to try as my new frogging reel. Pretty pumped to try it out. What rod do you have it paired with and what line?

How about the SLX DC XT? He’s a whole different reel and well worth the money. It’s jdm only so you’d have to order from the Japan sites. If you don’t want too then I’d go with the slx xt. Dc isn’t worth it in my opinion.

This is my suggestion. Or you can get him the SLX DC XT. Jdm only and it’s a really slick reel. Well worth it for sure!! But the tatula 80 ain’t no slouch.

I’d say Stradic FL 1000. I’m sure the vanford is a good one. I didn’t like the feel of myself personally. I use a Stradic fl 1000 on my panfish combo and couldn’t be happier.
