  1. Sorry I meant to add text. Just submitted it by accident. LoL. it’s a legit st croix site. Didn’t realize they have Seviin spinning reels as well. Don’t follow too closely. I see the casting reel on there though.
  2. As a matter of fact. The graphite side plates did survive. Just the frame had to be replaced. LoL.
  3. Well he’s an aluminum frame from the Abu Garcia Revo X that’s within the same price range as the SEVIIN. I think the new Revo X reels are graphite frame now?? Maybe that’s why?? I don’t remember how this happened it was a few years ago but I’m not rough on my gear. Anyways maybe a graphite frame isn’t so bad these days??
  4. Bass season doesn’t start for me until June so I have lots of time to get an expensive fidget spinner
  5. https://www.daiwa.com/jp/product/n19wa9p
  6. this right here. They have amazing customer service and they really want to keep the customer happy and out on the water.
  7. Thanks for the info and happy to hear it all worked out in your favour. what rod did you break? Just curious.
  8. That’s because the slx dc xt is a better reel.
  9. Yeah that’s fine. I’ve snapped a couple st croix by accident. Out of warranty too. I’ve called them and told them that right away and both times they told me it wasn’t a problem and will get a new rod to me asap. And they indeed did do that. Glad to hear you got a prompt response from them through email. They must be back up to speed now
  10. you never know what’ll happen unless you reach out. I don’t think you’ll get a reply from email. Explain to st croix your situation and if you get the right representative you may be surprised. Assuming you are in the states. Do you ever venture to the Canadian side?
  11. Give st croix a call and see what they say about a replacement at a fraction of the cost of a new one. Maybe you can get it replaced with the new trigon handle. Worth a shot. Call them. Don’t email. They’re fast to answer. At least with my experiences.
  12. Wouldn’t pass up on that deal. You’ll enjoy it. All I use pretty much are zillions and I have no complaints
  13. Never noticed this issue with mine but thanks for the heads up and part number. I’ll have to keep an eye out. Aside from that. Isn’t it such a great reel?
  14. I have the 6’10 M. Great jerkbait and topwater rod. I use it for everything pretty much. And the 6’6 M is great all around for bank fishing. Really enjoyable. Both first gen PA rods.
  15. But it’s zero adjust so you shouldn’t have keep adjusting it. That’s the point of it.
  16. Diablo spec R is a good first choice in the Levante line up. It’s a good chatterbait rod. I have 5 Levantes. They’re nice rods. I enjoy them more than I thought. My favourite in the line up is the perfect pitch. from Megabass website. “EXCELS IN SINGLE-HOOK APPLICATIONS LIKE SPINNERBAITS, BUZZBAITS, SWIM JIGS AND BLADED JIGS. DIABLO SPEC-R’S EXCELLENT VERSATILITY BENEFITS THOSE ANGLERS LOOKING FOR ONE ROD TO COVER MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS INCLUDING BOTTOM CONTACT, NO SINKER SOFT PLASTICS, TOPWATER AND SMALL SWIMBAITS. IF YOU’RE LOOKING TO PURCHASE YOUR FIRST MEGABASS ROD, THE DIABLO SPEC-R IS OFTEN THE MODEL WE SUGGEST. THE SECOND GENERATION IS LIGHTER, STRONGER AND MORE SENSITIVE, TUNED FOR VERSATILITY TO REFINE ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR SPOTS WITHIN THE LEVANTE SERIES.”
  17. I’d say go with another zillion sv or even a zillion hd. I just recently got a steez a2 so I can say I tried a steez and to see what the difference is. I find it’s a tad more refined and it does palm nicely. I don’t see the extra value needed and think I would of been better of with saving a few bucks and getting another zillion. Now I don’t regret the purchase and I enjoy using it. But the gap between the zillion sv and steez a2 is very very small. The zillion sv will excel in a lot of different weights and I find the steez a2 excels above 1/2oz. Now I mentioned the zillion hd as well because I find it’s close to the steez a2. Has the mag-z boost spool and excels at baits above 1/2oz. The 100mm handle is nice too. If you like the zillion sv then you’ll enjoy the zillion hd and save a few bucks over the steez a2. having said all that if you’re still curious about a steez. You won’t be disappointed.
  18. Neither. Get a 2021 Zillion SV or 2022 Zillion HD. Or this…. I have a couple and they are no slouch. ??
  19. thanks for the feedback. I’m intrigued and think I’ll be keeping an eye out for them out here.
  20. I only order reels from Japan Lure Shop. Fantastic to deal with. Very fast. And the free gift is a nice touch to make up for paying shipping. I just recently ordered a rod from a Japan angler and it was packaged up great. PVC tube and arrived safely.
  21. I heard those tiny pecker fish are the worst. Don’t forget to invest in a cup. Enjoy the trip.
