ML/M rod suggestion
Just picked up a fate black brand new for $31 shipped. I’ll take my chances for that right now. Should enjoy this set up then I’ll probably look into a p5 or orochi x10 down the road. who bought 13 fishing? Did rapala buy them out or do they still own 49% of it (I think that’s how much they owned).

ML/M rod suggestion
I’ll give that a look. I’m in Canada so depends what it costs after conversion.

ML/M rod suggestion
Thanks for the suggestions so far. I don’t think it’s easy to find Phenix Rods in Canada but I’ll definitely give them a look. I’ll also check out the curado Rod. I heard the new ones are good rods. I was thinking 1/8-1/2 range. Doesn’t need to be that low but at least nothing over 1/2. I did come across a 13 fishing fate black 6’10 ML on sale locally. I’ll have to look into that as well. Anyone have feed back on that rod?

ML/M rod suggestion
I use spinning rod for light lures but looking for suggestions on a ML or M casting rod to toss more finesse baits. Thinking of Evergreen Gizmos, small poppers, small jerkbaits, weightless plastics, ned rigs etc…. Plan to pair it up with a Daiwa PX Type-R using 6-8lbs mono most likely.

Dedicated Jerkbait Rod Battle: Expride 6'10 M vs Zodias 6'10 M vs St. Croix Victory 6'8 MXF
I ended up getting a legend tournament bass 68mxf instead of the victory. Really looking forward to trying that out. I’ll check out the expride. I used to have a 6’10 M poison adrena gen 1. Regret parting with that one. I’d imagine the expride is similar to that?

New JDM reels - 2024 Model Year.. who's buying?
- G. Loomis IMX Pro 884c TWFR
I didn’t. I passed on it. Was just thinking about it the other day though. Maybe this is a sign. LoL- Daiwa TD Zillion & Cousin Collection
Depends on the day. Sometimes 5hrs. LoL. I run freight trains so when I’m away from home I’m at a hotel or a bunkhouse. My only transportation away from home is a taxi to and from the hotel.- Daiwa TD Zillion & Cousin Collection
Some guy locally has been trying to sell a near mint TD Fuego for the past 3 years. It hasn’t sold yet so either it’s not as good as he says or people locally just don’t know. I came close to buying it but couldn’t make up arrangements to meet up. He lives closer to my work but I don’t have transportation when I’m at work and I don’t really want to drive 3.5hrs away for a reel when the guy lives 10 mins from work. Lol. Maybe I’ll meet up with the guy in the spring if it’s still available.- Daiwa TD Zillion & Cousin Collection
love those TD Zillion. Still use one for frogging. It’s a tank. I still need to try one of those TD Fuego!- New Team Lew’s Pro SP
That’s all that matters. What feels right to fish with. Also I’m the same way… “$20 shipping!? No way! I’ll spend a $100 to save shipping.” Can’t justify paying for shipping. Lol.- New 2024 Shimano SLX 70 Casting Reel question
Must of missed that when I watched the video. Ha. By pics it looks similar.- New 2024 Shimano SLX 70 Casting Reel question
Looks pretty similar frame if not the same frame. You’re just getting mgl 3 spool and silent tune. The current slx mgl 70 is a great reel. I don’t see it being much of an upgrade. If you want an upgrade go for the jdm slx dc xt. Different frame for the slx. It’s next level slx. Has the mgl 3. Idc5 brakes and a joy to fish. Nice small compact reel. I like it as much as my 21 zillion sv.- If you only used (1) lb test flouro?

You should see the photos I have. Sometimes I backlash just for fun. LoL- ‘16 Megabass Destroyer “Go-Ten”
it’s something man. The craftsmanship is so nice. It’s like using art to fish. LoL. That’s why it intrigued me. The short rod. Seemed like it would be something special. And it was $200cdn shipped. (Import fees was around $16cdn )So around $145-150 USD. Hard to pass up on that price.- ‘16 Megabass Destroyer “Go-Ten”
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll give that a whirl. There is a small creek around the corner from me that feeds into the river that contains mainly smallies. I’ll have to take a hike once bass opens up here. I tried the dark sleeper as a swimbait and as a jig. The rivers here are loaded with gobies so maybe I’m not working it too life like Rock magnet it sure is. I’ve hooked into tons of rocks. LoL- Prettiest Backlash Ya'll Ever Did See!
Never picked up another lews reel after those back lashes. LoL. They definitely were go home days. In all fairness I used to fish between jobs while working if I passed ponds and rivers. LoL. So I’m sure I had to go back to work anyways.- ‘16 Megabass Destroyer “Go-Ten”
Soooooooo…… I ended up buying this end of last season just because I found it new on a Japan site for $200 shipped. Brand new just didn’t have the Megabass rod sleeve. Really nice rod. The craftsmanship is just great. Anyways it’s the “Go-Ten” model (5’10, 1/4 - 3/4oz). I know it’s a niche rod for close quarters fishing jigs. I used it once when I got it. (Still has plastic on the cork. LoL) Tried a dark sleeper but I’ll be damned if I can catch anything in those dark sleepers. Anyways I was just curious what techniques others would use this for. I did get a suggestion of pop max which I haven’t tried yet.- Prettiest Backlash Ya'll Ever Did See!
- Most Sensitive Jig Rod ~$300?
Keep meaning to try one of these. They look great.- Show off your Stuff
Mail day! Decided to call st croix last week and upgrade my avid x 66MF to a LTB 68MXF (jerkbait). Looks and feels great. Thinking I’ll pair it up with a tatula 80 or tatula sv103. Now gotta wait for the snow to go. LoL- Well this stinks.
Yeah. Those handles look a little odd. Being open ended. Hrmmm…- Most Sensitive Jig Rod ~$300?
Maybe I’ll have to try an expride again. I used to have a 7’2 MH. Was not a fan of it. Maybe I expected more from all the hype. What model do you recommend? - G. Loomis IMX Pro 884c TWFR
