Yeah. I was reading it like that but then I did read a bunch of Reddit posts of people saying they did the no signature and DHL delivered it to wrong house and said oh well. Or they left parcels in the rain that got damaged and didn’t take responsibility. So I guess it depends on how they want to pursue it. as for the rolling away and school buses running all over it. That’s my luck. LoL

Arrived today. 😮‍💨. JLS packages the rod very well. No problems on their end. DHL was a pain though. They’re too busy to deliver it or so they told me. So they passed it off to a third party courier. Package was placed “on hold”. I contacted that courier and they told me they’re too busy to deliver it so they’re passing it off to another courier. 🙄 anyways it arrived safe and sound. The guy did leave it leaning against the door and I’m glad I was home. It’s so windy outside when I opened the door I caught it rolling down the driveway.

That’s what I’m gathering. And I hope that’s that case.

I’ll give DHL a call again tomorrow and figure it out. I just find it strange they keep texting me and pushing me to have no signature. Just sounds fishy when I have to agree to this. anyways I’ll figure it out. With my luck JLS ran out of tubes and pieced together the flimsiest box. LoL

Oh good. I’m glad to here they send in pvc tube. Ordered a destroyer p5 rod. LoL. yeah. I told DHL I will be home and they’ve argued that the only way it to waive responsibility. So weird. I’ll go to their warehouse in town tomorrow or something. anyways thanks for reassuring me of multiple orders and pvc tube. I ordered from jpangler once and it was a pvc tube and well packaged. Was crossing fingers that JLS was the same. Did they still get a free gift in the tube for you as well?

Hey. Just wondering if anyone has ordered a rod or many rods from Japan Lure Shop and if so how did they ship it? Cardboard tube? PVC? Did they ship fedex or DHL? Just ordered a rod from JLS. Really fast shipping. It was shipped out within a few hours of ordering. But DHL keeps telling me I need to sign this no contact/no signature thing before they deliver it and by doing that I waive the responsibility of the items from the seller and shipper should they be damaged upon arrival. Seems fishy so before I agree. If I do agree. Just wanted to know what I’m getting into. PVC tube or cardboard tube. 🤔

The slx mgl is pretty cheap from the jdm sites. They’re a really nice reel. Only difference I believe is a slightly smaller handle but it’s not a deal breaker. Or wasn’t for me at least.

Tatula Elite hands down. It just feels like the gap between a zillion and tatula for sure. I have a couple tat elites and they’re flawless. Amazing casters and just very comfortable to use. Having said that. If you can I’d step it up to a JDM Zillion SV and don’t look back. as for the slx mgl. I have a couple as well and they’re a very good reel as well. I like them way better than the curados and they’re a reel I wouldn’t part with. The elite I can bomb cast farther but the slx mgl is no slouch for an effortless cast. I find the tatula 100 casts similar to the slx mgl aside from the slx mgl being much more effortless but the comparison is very minimal.

Excellent. I was thinking of it for Gantarel JRs and frogs. Chatterbaits work good on it too eh? 🤔

Anyone have any experience with the Megabass destroyer p5 killer code? if so, what are your thoughts of the rod and uses? I can’t find any info on this rod. thanks in advance for any and all feedback.

Excellent rod. I have one and it’s a joy to fish. I use it for everything when I use a spinning rod. It does a lot.

kittery trading post? I saw someone else mention it so I referenced it. Don’t have that here in Canada so I have no idea what it is. I googled it up as well. comparing the 2020 Zodias to the expride I find the Zodias a better rod and at a lower price too. I find the new Zodias reminds me of the gen 1 Poison adrena and they feel the same to me. As for expride they just don’t feel right in hand to me and I feel they are over hyped. I’ve also noticed locally the resale value isn’t there compared to Megabass rods. That’s local used markets out here that is.

I had a couple exprides and I felt they were just eh… 🤷🏻‍♂️ however I haven’t been a fan of the Shimano rods. Except the poison adrena. They had that special something. I find the new generation Levantes have that special something especially for an “entry level” rod. I enjoy them more and find them better than my higher priced Orochi rods. Having said that, the Shimano warranty is a lot better than the Megabass warranty IF you are not the original owner. If you’re the original owner with receipt then the Megabass warranty from what I hear is fantastic. having said that…. I’d go with Levante over the Expride. You can also go into the store and handle them side by side to see what you think feels better in hand. Also bring the reel you intend to use with the rod. That’ll make a difference. I’ve had reels that I planned to use with a certain rod and that clearly didn’t happen. Didn’t feel the way I hoped when it came time to use them together.

Well I have the Orochi XX Tour Versatile rod and I find it ok but it’s not my favourite. Ive heard that the Levante version is more enjoyable but I haven’t tried one. However, I also like the Levante line better than my Orochi xx rods. Except the cork handle is nicer on the Orochi line up. You should look at the Perfect Pitch Levante instead of the Tour Versatile. I know it’s a heavy but I feel like it’s more like a MH+. It’s got a good back bone and soft tip. I use it for everything pretty much. I also have the Braillist it’s MH but I don’t find it to be an all around rod. plus with KTS having the Levante on sale, they’re definitely worth getting. You wouldn’t be disappointed. throw on a JDM ‘21 Zillion Sv and you have a great combo.

100%. I actually prefer the slx 70 mgl more than my curado 70 mgl reels that i sold both my curado 70 mgls and still use my slx mgls. but I just got the slx dc xt start of this year and it blows all those reels out of the water. Even all the curados.

I have a few Levante rods. Perfect pitch, Braillist and aklys. I’d like to get the Diablo spec-r, whipsnake and emtf as well. Having said that. The perfect pitch is great. I use it for a lot of things especially frogs. It’s always out with me and one of my fav rods the past couple seasons.
