  1. This is my suggestion. Or you can get him the SLX DC XT. Jdm only and it’s a really slick reel. Well worth it for sure!! But the tatula 80 ain’t no slouch.
  2. I’d say Stradic FL 1000. I’m sure the vanford is a good one. I didn’t like the feel of myself personally. I use a Stradic fl 1000 on my panfish combo and couldn’t be happier.
  3. $200cdn cheaper if you go through the JDM sites
  4. I would say the slx mgl is a proven reel. I have 2 slx mgl and had 2 curado 70 mgl reels. I no longer have the curados. I felt the slx felt better in hand and I didn’t see the difference in the extra money for a curado.
  5. I’ve had too many break offs with power pro over the years so I’ve switched to Berkley x5. It’s been flawless. Trying sunline fx2 this year but there really was no need to change.
  6. The Stradic FL is fantastic. You’ll love it. I have 4. I use my 1000 size on my st croix panfish rod. ??
  7. Did they copy 13 Fishings Jabberjaw or did 6th sense release this first? First time hearing of this bait. ??‍♂️
  8. If you go spinning rod. Check out the Megabass Orochi xx Whipsnake. ??
  9. As per their website. “Product Information varies from rod to rod. Only rods since 2019 will have serial numbers. Older rods will have model numbers. Use the instructions below to find the identifying details of your rod.”
  10. I’m thinking of picking up that tatula xt frog rod. Please give an update on it. Thanks.
  11. Yeah man. I retract that statement. I thought I read that somewhere unless I imagined it or was looking at a diff reel right after. Ha ha. I haven’t checked the site in a bit so definitely confused there. Was curious on this reel though. the mysteries of kastking.
  12. My understand is that it has drag. It’s set at full without adjustment since there no star drag. I think it just acts as if you have your drag cranked down fully 100% of the time. Just weird that they say there is no drag when the site claims it has 22lbs of drag or something. I dunno I forget. LoL but I’ve been known to be wrong. ??‍♂️
  13. Okuma TCS Scott Martin 7’3 Heavy frog/swimbait rod. Okuma Helios 7.3:1 gear reel. 40lbs berkley x5. One of the most versatile rods I’ve ever used. Even though it’s a heavy it covers a ton of bases.
  14. Glad to hear problem resolved and it’s working back to normal. ??
  15. What are the reels with the red handle knobs? Tatula SV?
  16. Oh yeah. Forgot about the Komodo. That was a great series too!
  17. I agree. The Hakai is awesome and the Helios (green colour/TCS) reels were awesome. The rest can be stepped up
  18. i agree! I have 2 slx mgls and had 2 curado 70 k mgls. I enjoyed the slx much more and couldn’t tell a difference with the higher priced reels.
  19. This was going to be my suggestion. I just got one a few weeks ago and they are slick!! Got it from Japan lure shop. they’re around $200. Got a Megabass crankbait as a free gift with it. ??
  20. Hey… anyone have any experience with this rod? Thoughts and feelings about it? Any other uses aside from flipping/punching? thanks!
  21. Better than decent. Makes a good frog rod too.
