Favorite Braid for Frogs ?

Looking for a new #50 lb. braid mainline for frogs and would like to know what your favorite is ?  ... I currently use Power Pro #50 lb. and I'm just looking for another solid braid line near the same size (.014" / .36mm) to try out in comparison just for frogs. On my short list so far as a braid for frogs is Sufix 832 and Sunline Xplasma .

What is it about Power Pro that makes you wanna change? I also use 50# Power Pro for froggin' and am 100% happy with it. I use other/smoother braids for other application, but for frogs I see no need to go away from PP.

I’ve had too many break offs with power pro over the years so I’ve switched to Berkley x5.   It’s been flawless.

Trying sunline fx2 this year but there really was no need to change.

Of late , Power Pro has seen a rise in quality control issues reported plus a rise in price . I am just looking for a good alternative to keep my options open .

Daiwa J Braid 50 lb

Another vote Seaguar tactx

I started using Sufix ProMix braid for frogging last year. Didn't frog a lot last year but so far I really like the line. It's pretty cheap, strong, and holds it's color better than most braids. For about ten bucks it's worth a shot.

Daiwa J Braid 8 carrier or the one I am leaning towards more is Cortland Silent Flip. Silent Flip was life changing in regards to punching and swimbaiting for me...

832 has been hands down the best braid for me in cover. I like something a little smoother for moving baits, but flippin, froggin, and anything bottom contact it's 832. It's been the most abrasion resistant of any I've tried, and I've tried quite a few. Handles great too.

I just gave Vicious No Fade a go on my main flippin stick. It was better than most, but it got fuzzy on me, and not just the last couple feet above the bait. I'm back to 832 on it, and don't see that changing anytime soon.

Frogging and Flipping it's Sufix 832 for me...prefer it greatly over PowerPro which I formerly used.

I started using Kastking Hammer Braid 50 and 65 test.  Available in Green, Black, Chartreuse

If it's the most abrasion resistant for you, why do you prefer something else for moving baits? Genuine question.

I'm not in the loop with braid at all. I gave it up years ago. Not my favorite for anything.

I like a smoother braid that's quieter through the guides for chuck'n and wind'n. Fins Infinity has proven good for this at a reasonable price. I'm mostly cranking chatterbaits and swim jigs in and around weeds with it.

I'm a big fan of 832 for all my braid except finesse which I've switched to Sufix Nanobraid.
