  1. So do the bass!
  2. Or open the picture in paint if you have that on your computer, click "resize", then reduce the size by whatever percent you need
  3. Got out last night and left far too many bites in the water that kept what could have been a great night to just a good one. Caught this 2.5 pounder and a few dinks. Had a giant blow up on my frog but she completely missed it. Had a good fish eat my bluegill swimbait while I was hung up and I didn't even realize it was on. Had her for a second but with barely any hookset she got off. Missed another on a jig with a weak hookset and had another pop off the frog. Could of been a night with my biggest 5 ever but oh well. Oh and I'm definitely going to be having a fish fry soon from this place.
  4. I do this. Maybe that's why I haven't had any issues. My senkos split in half at the o ring instead of just slipping out. I always get a partial tear first and can switch out.
  5. Sounds like something with teeth to me. Agreed above that I don't think it's a turtle or carp. I can't imagine a bluegill is picking you clean like that. I've had some big bluegills hit my wacky rigs but not tear the worm through the o ring.
  6. Went out last night with a primary goal to catch a small bluegill. I've never purposely fished for bass with live bait and thought I'd give it a try at this pond. Caught 12 in about 10 minutes without a single one smaller than my hand lol so gave up on that and landed a few 2 pounders instead. Fun night with a heckuva backdrop.
  7. Wacky senko far and away
  8. Agreed with all of the above. I believe it was this now locked thread that I was referencing when I posted this one
  9. A few months ago I recall a disagreement on here about if female bass only spawn with similar sized males or not. The general consensus seemed to be that females frequently spawn with males that were smaller in size but there were a few that did not agree.
  10. Yes. That puddle became a lake yesterday with the rain but should be better by now. Water was above the bottom of the bridge. There's a bunch of 2-3 pounders in there. And you might occasionally run into a trout or catfish. Some giant gills as well if that's your thing
  11. Strike King Pro Shallow Runner Crankbait in Bluegill Wacky rigged senkos Topwater frog

We got 4" in an hour where I live yesterday. Water standing in places I've never seen it on the way home from work. Agree, I wish we could share it with the West
  13. Lol I noticed the same thing!
  14. My spinning rods are two piece and I never have an issue. Makes them great for transportation too if needed.
  15. Man, if I would have fished yesterday I would have been swept away in current lol. We got 4 inches of rain in an hour and on my way home from work I saw water in places I've never seen it before. I'll be back out tonight but have no idea what to expect
  16. No, but there's solid fish in there
  17. Carroll County pond last night. Hooked into a giant Monday evening with the frog but lost her 6" from the bank. Went back last night and caught my PB but not the tank that she was. I'll be back ?
  18. You're assuming he measured it from stats and a pic off fishbrain. Some people weigh their fish but barely any on there measure them. He probably just entered a length, didn't think twice, and hit post.
  19. Check out the Daiwa Fuego CT. The tatulas are nice too though
  20. Not to hijack the thread but I have Oakley Flak Jacket XLJ sunglasses already. Anyone have an opinion on the best replacement lenses I could just swap into them for bank fishing?
  21. Well I didn't get big Bertha but when you best your previous PB by a pound and a half there's no complaining! 2nd cast of the night and my Pulse Tail Bluegill got smoked! Was a lot more calm and worked the fish perfect. Instead all the rushing happened with trying to get a quick weight and get her back into the water safely. Scale registered at 3-15 and I wish I would have done it again to see if it hit 4 but oh well. About 19" long. Caught 5 or 6 more with another 2 and 2.5 mixed in on the wacky rig plus this little guy with a big appetite for the whopper plopper.
  22. Make sure to report back
  23. Another dark sleeper on the way plus a couple packs of senkos
