I use snaps on my blade baits and swivels on my spoons and spinning worm. VMC is normally the brand I use. They’re good .

At 60 mph he’s super lucky his dad didn’t get hurt.

I tried a chatterbait on a medium fast rod a few times and didn’t like it. Hookset was weak, and lost a good fish because of it. Snapping through the grass was a pain too.

It’s sort of like a curly tail when you pull off one flapper. A swaying kick I guess is a good way to describe the action. I only rig my shad or bluegill jigs vertical with the one flapper. Crawfish gets horizontal Rage craw.

Aaron Martens is why I use the double uni. He did a video ( I think it’s on Bass Resource) where he said tying 8# fluorocarbon to 10# braid he wrapped the braid 14 times and the fluorocarbon half that many times. I bet you can find that video with a little searching.

My wife laid her rod down to net my fish and her rod took off like John Candy on The Great Outdoors when he went water skiing. That was apparently my fault.

I had never tried this method before. Tried it today and it worked great. Way easier than laying the spool on it’s side.

I use universal parts on what I can, but warranty work is a different story.

We waited for 4 months for a 90% furnace heat exchanger . I installed it just in time for spring. Not good. On another unit we couldn’t get our hands on a simple propane conversion kit. That held us up for a week. Six weeks on a box of 24x25 filters. There’s more, but I won’t bore you with them. Not good.

A tornado hit the lake I was fishing. Sirens were blaring in town and the hail beat the living crap out of me for what seemed like an eternity. The waves were well on their way to swamping my boat. After the storm passed I did catch some nice ones though.
