I use a small split shot about a foot up the line from my hook on a wacky worm. Of course I do it with a senko too, but the end result is more action on both. I really don’t see anything bad about Dingers. They have put a lot of fish in the boat.

I fish minnows in the early spring , as the water warms I use a lot of Bobby Garlands monkey milk and electric chicken on a 1/16 oz ball head jig.

I guess my measure of success is different depending on who I have with me. If I’m with a new angler, I want numbers. If I’m by myself I go for size. If my Dad came along , I just enjoy floating around making sure he has a good time. If he’s got a smile on his face , mission accomplished

I like the eggs , if they’re cooked thoroughly. Never had bass eggs, but walleye are good. Crappie too. Just got to be careful not to bust the sack when you clean them. They pop hot grease all over the place if they’re open.

My dad and I plant a garden every year. Last year we drove the old pickup to the organic dairy and got a bed of the sweet stuff and tilled it In. Our maters were out of sight dy-no-mite ! Store bought can’t hold a candle to picking one and stuffing it in your mouth fresh .

Going all fluorocarbon is expensive on a spinning reel. The cheaper fluorocarbon has a lot of line memory and wants to jump off the spool. Lots of line twist wrapping around the end of your rod all day. You’re going to get that with expensive fluorocarbon too but not NEARLY as much. All that said , Sniper . WRB already said that. Never mind
