  1. I wish I had half the skill you have! Keep crushin em! Love the title book end biggies
  2. That’s the one I was referring to. Maybe when they tear down the mall they will put a test pond in haha.
  3. I assume you aren’t running super shallow water. It might take you 400yds to get on plane and lose top speed. Higher fuel consumption and less handling. The more it squats in the transom the harder it is to plane. The risk of taking water over the transom rises. People are just trying to warn you of the effects it will have that are less desirable. It seems like you are dead set on doing it so do it. Let us know how it works out for you. It could not be as bad as we think or it could be worse. I am sure there is some math equation a mile long to figure this all out as well. If someone could find that it would eliminate some of the guessing.
  4. I don’t check my hook sharpness but, I can tell you the first fish I loose on whatever I’m using I sharpen the hook right after. I keep a Dremel tool on board for this.
  5. If it is the bass pro I know of in his area they do not. It’s attached to a mall surrounded by highways.
  6. I know his current jet rig has pods. From what I understand he swapped out the prop after the tournament for the jet. Since they can’t run jets. I would think with most bodies of water they fish a jet would be more of a disadvantage then an advantage anyway. I don’t make the rules though.
  7. That was a tunnel with pods on the back to wasnt it? The pods would help offset the motor.
  8. Being able to watch something real time react to your bait no matter what the water clarity or depth has to be an insane. Like anything else you need to be able to use it proficiently. People are catching more and bigger fish than ever with this. I think those who figure it out have a huge advantage over those who don’t have it. For me I love the thrill of that hit not expecting it. I do not have it. It’s not my cup of tea. I can’t answer if you will be able to use it to the capabilities you need make it feel worth it to you.
  9. I would have been upset. Probably said something when I saw them drop it. It’s not the end of the world. I know my stuff will get used and scratched. That’s the point it’s mine. I want to be the bonehead to ruin it. Unless something would have broke on it. I wouldn’t have been complaining to a manager.
  10. This is what I do. Unless I feel like the day is a slow down day on conditions. Faster to slower. Shallower to deeper.
  11. You aren’t side scanning at 30mph why not just tilt the motor some till it clears the transducer and you get a reading? You are running out of boat to do the things you want to do with it. I’m not saying you can’t. You are just trying to cram 10 pounds of stuff in a 5 pound box.
  12. I am not sure if they come with origins of sale. I think you can just end that in? If not you’ll have to say you got it at s yard sale. There is a form you fill out from the PA fish and boat to get the title. Then you fill out a separate form to register it. This is what I did for my scanoe. It has to be titled because you cannot register an untitled powered boat. honestly best to have a “tax and tag place” handle it. I know it costs a little extra money but, it was worth it I thought. Also remember once it’s considered powered you have to follow powered regulations as well. Nav lights etc.
  13. Just keep in mind too in PA if you put a trolling motor in it you will then need to title and register it.
  14. I third the aluminum boat. A flat bottom Especially if you are deciding to play in the susky.
  15. I run 10lb 832. I have never had an issue casting into any tree I didn’t want to that I thought was to far away.
  16. I am unsure of the brand. I am assuming a Walmart zebco spin cast of some model. I do think I caught more fish on that than any of the 7 rods I currently have. I seriously have memories dropping a worm or live minnow and almost always getting bit. Maybe I am just getting old and talk about how everything was better than it is now.
  17. I think they may do a one off event a year. Kind of like pro motocross where they have two stroke only races. A lot of the big names do not show up for that though.
  18. In my defense I was wiping the drool off my face thinking about it.
  19. I use a gas grill. 5 minutes per side at 450. I toast the buns. At about 2:50-2 minutes I put them on the top rung lay a slice of the thick Cracker Barrel cheese then three slices of bacon then another slice of cheese. No shrubbery just meat and cheese.
  20. Ticks seem to be bad this year. I haven’t found any on me thank god. I have found quite a few on my dog and he does not go i high grass. One thing i was taught after walking through high grass try to brush/ shake your clothing off. Chances are if they are on at that time they will come off your clothing easily.
  21. I have a Short thick neck and do not prefer the tight feeling around it. They also tend to bunch up more causing them to feel hotter. A breeze down the hood always feels nice.
  22. Gotcha. I have a thick beard and wear a hat. Every once and awhile I get a little red on my nose. That’s about it.
  23. Have you thought about trying the long sleeve sun shirts with the hood built in? I prefer those over neck gaiters
  24. I almost always start with a faster higher in the water column bait. If that doesn’t work it goes deeper and slower.
  25. This isn’t new. Livingston has been doing this for years on the musky side.
