  1. I do not know how I’d trust PVC going down a road. I know it’s not a ton of weight but, I see PVC being problematic in the long run.
  2. @biggin if youre a welder or have a welder friend they can make you one of those extenders much cheaper. I made an all aluminum one for my truck when I fished from a scanoe. Takes about 20 minutes for someone knowledgeable and with the tools to do it.
  3. It’s pretty gross. I am not sure how many I could eat. I’d say 5-6 maybe? Get me drunk then who knows.
  4. Just like 3 phase power uses less power draw for the same voltage then single phase.
  5. Everyone around here and I am sure most places throw whopper ploppers. I throw berkley choppos. They are probably just different enough for the bass to care. Low water most people start throwing them. I have been trying to grind spinner baits into the rocks lately. I have been having some success with that. They generally are the bigger fish I’d the day. I am going to have to invest in a few buzz baits just to try.
  6. I had a 55 thrust Newport vessels on my scanoe for awhile. Honestly with the stock props no matter what TM you have you will reach about the same top speed. The thrust comes into play with stuff like current and wind.
  7. If you didn’t fish history why do they need waypoints to mark fish? I know in the river most times the fish are in that area or they aren’t. I just have to eliminate water. Some conditions hold more fish then others. Sometimes it might be the right conditions the fish didn’t move in yet or maybe they just are turned on yet. Who knows. When i am not catching I will absolutely go away from history.
  8. @galyonj @Blue Raider Bob thank you. I do believe I had a fresh stocked musky swipe in as well. I didn’t get a good look at it. Came out from under the rock ledge. 18-20” I didn’t get a great looked.
  9. The susky has been hovering around the 3.8 range. I have been being extra careful at these lower levels because of trading in my boat soon. I have been catching some smaller fish nothing post worthy. This fish are not really post worthy either but, I figured I’d give my two cents of a report. I fished about 3 hours. I wanted to dodge any bad weather that might come in. A prop style top water over shallow rocks seemed to be the ticket. Alternating speeds and pumping it was triggering them. The bigger of these two fish actually surprised me. It pulled drag going up stream! I thought with it doing that it was going to be bigger. Sometimes I forget how spirited of fighters smallies can be. Have a great forth of July everyone and stay safe on what you’re you plan on doing!
  10. I do know one guy who gives each area 15 minutes. They are either there or not. He is still the abnormal around here with that. I do know they will make drifts for blue cats in the summer down below the wingo.
  11. I’ve never seen it or heard of people doing that around here. Most people do 30 minutes to an hour in a spot.
  12. What really gets them is when you say hold on a second and put ear plugs in.
  13. About once a year I’ll go catfishing. That about scratches that itch for me. I’m just not into the sit and wait game. I enjoy casting. I am not discrediting the skill behind it to be good at it either. Just not something that gets me excited.
  14. I can’t say I appreciate those “big bass only” mindset. I just enjoy catching bass. If I want to catch big fish ill go to a different species.
  15. Medium heavy is the heaviest I use. This is for my T rigged stuff. I prefer mediums. I’ll run medium lights for Ned’s and drop shot.
  16. I’d hold off to see if you can find any used ones. I am sure people will be ditching their current ones for the new ones coming out.
  17. I’ve fished around havre de grace and nailed good smallies there
  18. I do not enjoy the smoke it is hard on me having asthma and I am out in it most the day for work. ( big building with 32 garage door open) We never give Mother Nature it’s due. It is far tougher then we are. Wild fires have been going on forever. Nature finds a way to heal and recover.
  19. It’s been a weird year for fishing for me. I hope to be out on the susky tomorrow.
  20. Just keeping a look out while I pump gas
  21. I am not headed out today. I won’t be out till the weekend. I’d love for a good rain to put it up to about the 10-12 foot then as it’s going down hit it around 6-8 ft mark.
  22. I have gone from the ramp in wilksbarre to just above scovell island and as far down as the hanover township ramp. I think the lowest I did that was around the 3.5 mark on the wilksbarre gauge. I did this in my boat. There is some great water in that stretch. I do not think it would be to bad at that level in a kayak. Just take a good anchor so you can sit on areas.
  23. Thank you. I didn’t know about this and just tried it. Works soo much better!
  24. I would love for the susky to go up pretty good. I think it’s only projected to get around 4ft so far on the Harrisburg gauge and 2.9 in wilkesbarre. The floating debris will make it very sketchy and being low stuff can catch on the bottom much easier.
  25. This is why I have stopped musky fishing around here. It’s almost become a joke if you have live scope and becoming impossible I’d you do not.
