  1. I have trolled for musky a lot. There is a big difference between throwing some lines out and going around and trolling a 4-6 rod spread. Before I did that I thought trolling was lazy and boring. It’s a whole different mental game.
  2. Thank you. We try the best we can.
  3. Welcome aboard buddy! Tons of great people and knowledge.
  4. It has improved tremendously. He is a completely different dog than a year ago. We will always continue to work with him. Trust and love needed to be built before we could ever teach obedience.
  5. Thank you! He is. He got hamburger and ice cream to celebrate
  6. Are you sure you aren’t talking about the Susquehanna? Lol
  7. You’re crushing it! Great job. I need some lessons lol
  8. Thank you! I am sure most people would have as well. We had to teach him trust and love. That not everyone and everything is going to hurt him. We are as well. Honestly he commends us when we get home from work and are greeted by a wagging tail at the door. He rubs his head against me then goes between my legs so I can pet him. It’s one thing my wife and I don’t take for granted is we are the only humans he’s ever shown any affection for.
  9. It’s like a weather rock. More accurate then a weather man and doesn’t need a college education.
  10. Thank you sir! It’s been a rough go at times but, it has paid off for us.
  11. I have a 2019 tracker 160 I bought new. Is it the best boat ever? No. Does it do everything I need it to? Yes. I do not think there is any boat that is perfect for every situation you might get into. I would never take my boat on Lake Erie but, the susky and small lakes I fish it on is great. I also learned what you think you want in a boat isn’t always what you end up wanting in a boat. My wants and needs have changed since I first got that boat. Id personally pick up a used boat or a cheaper side new boat like a tracker. Beat that around learn what you like and don’t like then invest the money into a different boat later. Make the mistakes with that one not a 30k plus boat.
  12. I do not normally get to personal on here. Today marks a special day for my wife and I. It is our dogs one year anniversary being in our home. I had always wanted a dog she was against it. She was always looking on the Davis dog farm a local rescue here at their dogs that needed adopted or fostered. She stumbled across a poor boy named river. A lab golden retriever mix that was heart worm positive. I said when a name like that we should adopt him. She goes fill out the application. So I did. We had a meet and greet with him. They told us he was crate trained but, that was about it. They said he probably didn’t even n kw his name. He was a feral dog down south. A kill shelter picked him up down there luckily they picked him up and rescued him from there. He was with the DDF about 6 months. We brought him home he was so scared his whole world was turned upside down once again. He paced and panted all night to sleep for 20 minutes to do it all over again. He was scared of his own reflection. We had to monitor how much water we left I. His bowl or hed drink it all till he threw up. Day 3 my wife was finally home alone with him. She calls me at work crying because she can’t handle the dog. He’s pawing jumping up mouthing her none stop. She can’t get him in his crate. This was her first pet. She was scared and he was scared. At this point I did not know if we were going to be able to handle him. I said it’s going to take a lot of time at work. He’s been beat mentally and physically. Scars on his ears and stomach. Dropping his head if you tried to touch him. My wife had made the comment that she would never love him. I said you will and once’s he’s in your heart when he hurts you will. All of the summer into the fall he was still a basket case. He had chronic diarrhea. Would pace all night till we went to bed. He would jump up on you, bat you mouth you. It was impossible to even put a jacket on in front of him. He was fairly uncontrollable. We figured out he has food allergies and needed to put him on prescription food for it. We did however get the new he was officially heartworm free. Christmas time he really started to make his change. He started calming down. Feeling comfortable and being more receptive to touch. Spring to now he has dealt with some sickness Pneumonia which the scaring on his lungs from heart worm makes him more susceptible too. We also just recently found out he has seasonal allergies. He has become an amazing dog. My wife does in fact love him and worry about him just like I said she would. He is still not a cuddle type dog but, he wants us to be in his sight at all times. Our next goal with him and we are going to have a trainer step in is with other dogs. He goes crazy. This is pretty much his only flaw. It’s not an excited crazy it’s full on protection mode. Here is a time line of pictures from around when we first got him to now. You can see how much healthier he is. The only time he really gets that smiling dog look is on the boat in my truck or going for walks. That’s what he loves.
  13. I can cut you down to one. Ned rig with a tickler or worm.
  14. Hi, my name is Dan. I am also a ned rigaholic. I have two dedicated rods for it at all times. Are the the classic little worm guy or do you branch out into other profiles? I do have good days on other baits but you can darn well bet I throw a Ned rig every single time I’m on the water.
  15. At least it wasn’t a snake or big spider.
  16. Sounds like a great day. Glad you made it back in safe!
  17. I do enjoy high water fishing
  18. My boat isn’t a tunnel either. I’ve scraped the grate in 4” I honestly prefer no less than a foot but when you’re in it there’s no backing off. I’ve only ever fished the juni around Newport. In July I will be putting in an order for a G3 ccj 18’
  19. I generally fish lower than there. I know fort hunter can be amazing but, I personally haven’t experienced that there. I just need time up there.
  20. You could still putt around with a prop In certain areas I go but very limited. You will also get stuck to small portions. Some of the areas I cut through are less then a foot deep.
  21. I am at the point on the water level on the susky where I get very selective of where and if I go there.
  22. I can tell you from what I see on the susky with smallmouth is fish of the same size generally congregate together. One time you might get smaller fish and the next time in that same area bigger fish will be there.
  23. I stop going up to fort hunter at 4’ 3.5’ gets sooo sketchy. I haven’t been on the juni much.
  24. That’s still a haul from Philly. Probably a little over two hours to fort hunter area.
