  1. Most have a thermostat. Look when you are under power to make sure it is pushing hard. Also most boats have an alarm that will sound if you are over heating. You could also flush your cooling system. I try to do that every two months. Mud and other debris can build up.
  2. Drinking yuengling lager tall drafts. Tastes good after a hard week of work
  3. Ok good luck then buddy
  4. Which part of it?
  5. I will go out on it at 10ft which is a foot below the action stage. 17’ is flood stage. 10ft looks like it’s flooded though and I will not go out over that. The fishing can be awesome when it’s up.
  6. I think the susky is 444 miles long and roughly half of it is catch and release. It wasn’t just people keeping it was lots of pollution too. I have fished outside the catch and release only portion and that’s great fishing as well.
  7. What’s not practical?
  8. Don’t ever trust guys who post musky videos ?? Most are guides or have a direct connection to them. It’s also probably their 4-5th day fishing for them that week and have a pattern on them. Your average weekend warrior fisherman isn’t crushing them constantly. Don’t compare yourself to these guys. Watch informational videos. Cut the brands out they are promoting and just use the techniques. Sure the look what I caught videos are entertaining but, not practical. The boat ramp talk is simply that. Listen to the guy who says they didn’t catch any. Chances are he did and doesn’t want the cat out of the bag. At the very least you can comb through his area instead of pound it. Listen to the guy who down plays his fishing. The ones who come right out and give you a fishing report and how big/ many aren’t the ones to bother with. Take three ways to fish and learn them till you catch fish. The sprinkle in more so you can expand in different situations if need be. I have fished NJ a little bit and I can say I enjoyed it there my priorities have just changed.
  9. The susky is catch and release only from sunbury to the MD line. There was s time not that long ago the smallies were hurting big time. People sold their boats. Bait shops closed up. People from out of state stopped coming here.
  10. I can’t believe the musky wasn’t added. Personally I think most times the fight is exaggerated. Musky on bass gear yeah feel insane. Musky on real musky gear generally aren’t that impressive. I think the thrill of it’s a musky overtakes what is going on. This also crosses over to channels on bass gear vs catfish gear. River smallies on bass gear I would say are the most impressive.
  11. I guess I could say I do this at blue marsh. I really don’t care if I catch fish there. It’s honestly more of a I just want to be in the water issue. I am not chasing anything. when I fished for musky there were two places I pounded and pounded and pounded oh did I say I pounded? I did eventually get them at both.
  12. Yesterday was terrible here smoke wise. I spend a lot of time outside and in a big plant with 32 garage doors made to fit tractor trailers into the building. I was suffering and so were others. Lots of people coughing complains of chest pains, tight lungs, sore throats and burning eyes. I know it is going to start to get better but, if you don’t have to be in it for extended periods of time don’t.
  13. Here is a look at one of the stretches of the river. https://www.wgal.com/article/pennsylvania-side-by-side-smoke-comparison/44127120
  14. I would think it’s going to effect us more than the fish.
  15. Gotcha. Regardless bloom or chocolate milk water has never really changed much for me. I think it effects you and I more then the fish.
  16. I would think algae bloom has less effect than mud. Is this bloom only in the first 6-12” of the water column?
  17. I fish an extremely high pressured river most the time. I think every year comes with its challenges and you have to adapt. Sometimes it’s moving to a different stretch. Sometimes it’s hammering an area longer. With anything I think it’s timing. I think what’s making it harder for me this year is water level and for awhile colder then average temps. Fishing memories is ok to do as long as the produce new ones. Don’t get hung up if they aren’t producing.
  18. Neds for the win
  19. thank you. He will always be a work in progress but, he is loved .
  20. I once reeled in s sunken flannel jacket while trolling.
  21. If you’re going to run 6 rods for musky two have to be on boards. 2 down 2 out and two boards. You have to have the correct baits on the correct rods.
  22. It’s even more fun when two get stuck.
  23. Here’s how I run 4 just mirror it in either side
  24. I have come close to running mine dead on 500acre electric only lakes. When you say 6 hours of fishing you weren’t 6 hours constant on the trolling motor like I would be for 8 hours on that lake. Now running the river. I never come close even fighting current when I am using my TM. I have a 80thrust terrova.
  25. Running a spread you have to have the right baits baits at the right position in the spread. One bait can take out the whole spread. You also need to be mindful of the baits are running true.
