  1. Yes....have done that many times in my life. Talk to the dealer, if no sucess, go to your banker, when the bank knows your not gonna pay for a faulty boat, they will call the dealer. If no resolve after that, put all your payments in a separate account so the bank can't get them , people do this all the time. I have done it on a few occasions and it really got results. You do need to verify all your issues and the contacts made to get them resolved. If your not comfortable doing this on your own, that is what attorneys are for.
  2. Time to return it for a refund if new. If you financed it, stop all payments. Defiantly not right. Pressure type Speedos never work right, probably some scrap in the tube. Fuel gages are not accurate often.....as king as they repeat is all you can expect. Best thing is to put a few gallons in and check reading, then add more and keep checking the gage. My own 18 gallon built in tank, stays full until almost half is gone, then the gage drops quickly. When it reads 1/2 tank, I know it will take 13 gallons to fill it up. Bilge filling with water is totally unacceptable !! Tracker should just replace the entire boat.
  3. Proper maintenance is everything ! If your maintenance habits are poor then no battery other than lifepo4 will last. I have used wallet world batteries for years, charge them back up as soon as I get home. Use a maintainer charger when in storage for long periods of time. Distilled water only and monitor the charge. Usually get 5-6 years out of them. Current batteries are 2019 and still going strong. If you do have an issue, they just swap it out for a new one, no questions ask.
  4. when it begins to stumble, have you tried squeezing the primer ball on the fuel line ? Never hurts to do a thorough tank cleaning and Mabey do a pressure test on the fuel pump.
  5. Great looking pup !!
  6. Hide a couple "airtags" on trailer and kayak so you can locate it, just in case.....
  7. The top and bottom seperate, not real easy, but doable. The foam will never dry out, so cleaning out the old and replacing it is the only way.
  8. Can't say how much rain I would tolerate, when starts to rain, I am already at shore, this ole boy doesn't take any chances. One reason I have over 60 years if fishing/ boating under my belt with no accidents/ issues.
  9. Also, is the trailer set up correctly to center the boat easily ? I often see experienced persons having difficulty because there trailer is not setup for their boat. Go to a launch and observe....soon you will see what to do, and what not to do !!
  10. That is the reason for the tool, make sure they don't come loose ! Always have used some kind of tool on my wingnuts, so never had one come loose.. What ever type of fastener you use, be sure it is tightened with a tool, not just your fingers ! Make sure you have quick access to whatever tool is needed to loosen those fasteners when an emergency takes place !
  11. For hose that use wing nuts.....make a wrench to tighten them ! Either a piece of flat metal or I used a small flat piece of lexan plastic with a slot cut into it, wide enough to slip over the wings on my wingnuts.. On my coast gard inspection, they checked my wing nuts, if they could be easily loosened with fingers, no pass !! If I have an electrical emergency, I don't want to be hunting for a wrench, using lexan , I can attach this with a zip tie so it is handy at all times and no worries about sparking or shorts.
  12. All depends on how the rest of the trailer is setup. No one can say for sure without knowing the weight of your boat and how the trailer is setup.
  13. Not sure I have enough fingers and toes to count for me ! However, a number of years back I made a routine of touching the drain plug when attaching and removing the transom straps. Didn't take long to become a habit....no more forgetting !!
  14. Most of us have " renewed" our "forgot the plug" more than once ! Welcome !!
  15. Oh..boy...lots of opportunities for crazy antics with those.....
  16. Our DNR folks claim the same thing about falling in when taking a pee. Being a lone fisherman, I don't take the chance, those portable urinals are very easy to use and you don't need to tell folks what they are for...they already know !!
  17. I have always carried a urinal bottle, can be used by male of female, cost less the 6 dollars, if you have been in a hospital in the past decade, all rooms have one, you can keep it. Have never had a #2 issue but do carry a couple heavy bags ( yes Menards) and a pkg of wet wipes just in case !
  18. Mine has both a pedal and a remote, not a bass fisherman so I find the remote is awesome !! After first use, never used the pedal again.
  19. I have an older Sylvan 16' layed out the same way....great fishing boat !
  20. Tow vehicle or boat trailer ?
  21. A boat crash at over 70 mph will be the same whether they have a boating class or not ! We have lots of offshore racing type boats in my area. They can exceed 100 mph, having a safe boating course makes no difference because it is just a piece of paper, no real driving test nor any test for common sense !! Been a boater for over 60 years, my grandkids wanted to learn to operate my boat, so they took the boating classes and I went with them. While worthwhile, it won't do anything for making crazy people drive better !
  22. Probably why so many all sport lakes have boat lifts to get it up and out of the water!!
  23. Here in the western basin of Lake Erie, the walleye is king even though we have numerous types of catchable fish. LM, SM, cats, crappie, bluegill, perch and the list goes on. I fish not only for fun but also for food. My family are Perch eaters with a few walleye on the side, so Perch is my first goal for fish in the cooler.
  24. I use the Walley World ( Everstart) group 31 and 29 in my boat. Current ones are from 2019. Previous set went over four years, can't beat the price.
  25. Get a picture of the boat making the waves , then take them to small claims court. A boater is responsible for any damage his wake causes ! Just need pics to prove it, had it happen to.me, called DNR and showed them the video, they arrested the guy and took his boat until he paid for damages and his fine...might depend on state laws so check it out.
