For some reason I get a lot more hits with top water baits on Ponds more so than on the lakes..I do catch fish on the lakes too but not as many? Any time I come across heavy weeds in shallow water that are not easily fished I always throw a weedless top water frog rite into the weeds. morning, day or nite...

Nothing over 4# yet.. all on hand pours.. a lot of fish in the 3# range.. it can be tough in inland Michigan. last nites tourament big fish was only 3.5. my big last nite was only 2.55

Any one out there got a local school or one of your kids going to the High School football play offs? here in Michigan, tonite is round 1 of the State Play offs. 1st off I am 100% catch & release. but, Wayne P. is rite on.. everyones trophy is different.. I do feel, if you want to mount a small 1st fish .. get a replica for it.. also, the size of a Bass to keep depends on what part of the country you fish... northern bass do not get as big... Jeff

It looks very similar to what we call a Dog Fish here in Michigan.. When we would catch these my Grand Dad would cut there guts open and throw um back. We would catch um on live bait when fishing for Walleye & Pike way back in the 70s. Jeff

Here in Michigan Bow season for deer opened Oct. 1st. My boy ( 17 years old ) got is 1st deer opening morning. a nice 6 point.. he is pumped. !!!!!! In the past we have had no good place to hunt, only state land. this year he has a job on a farm and can hunt there .. Jeff ps. I use a mossburg 20 ga. for small game & deer and it works great..

I am a Vikings Fan.. and They only won because of a lot of luck.. at the 1/2 the Saints could have been up 20-3.. football is a funny sport some times.. I do believe the Saints are a better team..
