Don't have a pic of my pb, but this is my best of this year (and not much smaller than my pb.) 

 

This Potomac River smallmouth weighed in at 5lb8oz.

 

5lb 22inch on Balsam Lake my pb bass!

4 lbs 19 inches at lopez lake ca.

This is the 7.40 last week. I will dig up the 9.8 pic. We get lots of 5-6 s daily. 5lb fish on Lake Simcoe is quite common.

 

I can't be the only one still waiting to see a photo of this 9.8...

_{my best was a 4 pound smallmouth on a chartreuse bomber model "A" crank bait. 3 weeks ago actually lol.}

20 yrs ago....I caught one around 5lbs out of the Greenbriar river in WVA. I had no proof other than my brother who was there. Well. .... finally. ....after 20yrs of missing my family reunion- I made it up there last week and on the final day of my liscence, I caught this guy on a watermelon/chart roboworm t-rigged on a 1/8oz lead.

I'm not 100% sure on the size- but rough estimate is 18-19 inches and pushing 4lbs maybe? I'm so ridiculously happy I finally have a pic of me and a smallie!

Looks like the bridge at Caldwell, the river is nasty low now. Nice to see another fisherman who knows the secret of the Greenbrier.

I can't be the only one still waiting to see a photo of this 9.8...

Oh yeah that's a huge smallie. I bet it was caught on a live leech in 200 ft of water with 4 lb test....

 

Or.. Maybe its a 6 inch young of the year held so close to the camera it looks bigger ?

It does have a small mouth though   If I had a dollar for every time one of those ugly things fooled me into thinking I'd hooked a state record smallie....

I caught a 7lb small on a rippin rap helsinki shad. The bass in my lake love that lure.

2 lb 3 oz so far. Working on it though.
