If you want to try something similar, without paying huge premium for the limited edition shudder tails, look into Fish Arrow HuddleJack. Very similar action.

Me too! LOVE the pop max. It's like art you get to fish with. Just picked up this one in 'Hakusei Bass'.

I've recently acquired all 3 of these reels over the past couple of weeks. I think I might have a problem...

- Shimano Scorpion XT 1000

- Shimano Chronarch 200E6

- Lew's Tournament Pro 

I just dropped over $300 today.  Mostly to get started with a NED setup.  Bought several packs of jig heads and 2 different type of lures to try with it.  Oh, also bought 9 rod gloves and 9 sets of Reel Grips.

Bought one about a month ago, used it once so far with no success but all they would eat that day was cranks anyways. Got it tired on for a small trip this afternoon. Hopefully she comes home with some scuff marks.

Yeah they don't ALWAYS work, but when the fish are in the mood nothing and I mean NOTHING draws 'em like the trick darters. They just stall so perfectly, you can just seem to match any cadence. Mix in the prop darters for about 6" deep looks and the +1 darter for a deep diver and they can actually cover a lot of water with them too. Just watch your drag with the katsuages and you're good. They're pricey but hot dayum I love em.

And it's a well known fact that The Bait Monkey goes semi-dormant during the warmer months but then explodes right into full attack mode right around Halloween.

 

Unfortunately he's usually well rested by then and is able to keep the pedal to the floor for several, I say again, Several months - He's RELENTLESS !
