Nice kit. I'm a drummer also. I've been playing for almost 33 years. Drums are what got me away from fishing at the age of 13. Now that I'm 45, be 46 in a few months, fishing has taken over my extra curricular activities. What kind of kit is that?

Wow, 33 years, so you know how it goes - never stop learning or figuring things out.  It's been almost 40 years for me.  Some things still baffle me.

I finally let this one go.  I was offered more than I payed for it.  I had for 17 years, was time to let it go.  Black Badge DW Collectors Series, born in Feb. 2000.  Early John Good shells, not Keller.  They're on 6 records, and I still love their sound, but I was ready for something different.

Here's a pic of us being stupid before a show.  New kit is a Masterworks, in order L-R: 10 popcorn snare, 13, 10, 12, 8, 16, 15, 20 bass, Gretsch USA snare with Dunnett hoops and throw-off.  Dream Bliss/Vintage Bliss cymbals, Pearl rack system, Tama Speed Cobra pedals.

Small club setup, without the rack:

Even smaller setup I use when we're writing new stuff.  Even though I use a big kit, everything is centered around the groove and these drums.  Once I have things down, I expand on the melodies with the extra stuff.

This is the kit I have. A Pearl Export Series 5 piece 12" and 13" rack Tom's 18" floor Tom 22" kick drum and a 13" Dixon piccolo snare. DW3000 double kick pedal, Zildjian and Sabian cymbals. This is the only pick I have right now from back in 2000 when the band I was with opened up for Godsmack at Malibu Alley in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana. I'm a metalhead...lol. Nowadays I would rather be fishing!

I've got a tournament on Erie this weekend so I stopped by my local F&S. Does anyone know if these are good baits for smallmouth?

And KVD gets a little bit richer. lol

I got a few more jigs from Seibert Outdoors, 3 arky's, 1 sniper jig, and 1 g2 derocker football jig. I love the arky's but wanted to try out something new, so  I grabbed a sniper jig and that g2 football jig.

Also I have to try out the ned rig on my spin setup!

I'd post a picture if I could. Picked up some Rage Bugs in blue bug,1/4oz tungsten worm weights,4/0 Owner Jungle hooks and a 3/8oz punch rig in devil craw from @Siebert Outdoors. Once again, thanks for the great products Mike.

Picked up 2 (2-$20) whopper ploppers at Dicks.   On the way home stopped by one of the ponds I fish to check out what the hoopla is all about.  About 10 casts in got me a new personal best - 5.44lbs.

Well I went to Academy today looking for some Zoom Centipedes, no luck. However, I did pick up some of these.

Zoom 10" Ol' Monsters in junebug red and some 6" Zoom Ultravibe Speed Worms in green pumpkin. Hoping to try them out tomorrow or at least soon.

Wow. Awesome.

Whopper Plopper is my favorite lure.

Picked up some 40# Daiwa J-braid x8. The 40 has the same diameter as 50# 832. Time to find out what this stuff is made of as ill be pitching heavy cover and lots of stumps with it.

I have been seeking the Zoom Centipede in Wal Mart, Academy and Holloway here in Pineville and Alexandria, La. with no luck. Finally went to Louisiana Archery today, for the first time, and found them. Got me a pack! Now I recall, in a different post and topic, @Catt recommended fishing them Carolina rigged. I have a question. I know in a Carolina rig the worm or soft plastic is Texas rigged. My question is, how do you Texas rig a centipede? I ask because they have an awkward kind of look to them. As you can see in the pics below. Please show a pic of it so I  can see what it looks like. Thanks in advance for all the helpful knowledge you've given me thus far.

After I sold my gears that I rarely use and wanted to go different direction on the stuff.

Those have arrived at my door ready to be adopted. I still have few parts coming in (96mm handles for on three baitcasters)

did the monkey get me ?

Siebert's Dock Rocker is a great alternative to the arky style jig!

St. Croix Mojo Bass MJC74HF (Heavy/Fast 7' 4") rod, Lew's SD1XHL reel, and PowerPro 65# braid. "Sweet setup"! I used it for the first time yesterday and the time on the water went TOO FAST!
