I keep wanting to pull the trigger on a drop shot setup but it always seems whenever I go to put the order in or go to the store I find something else that I end up buying.

Bam!! My new musky reel is going to ordered next week, and trying to decide between a St. Croix 7” H (2-6oz) custom musky rod, or 8” Abu Garcia Volatile H (3/8 – 4oz) rod..

 

The Abu will matches in color, but the St. Croix I can custom… Anniversaries should be every month if I get my way like this!

I kept doing the same, but finally said enough was enough. I just can't wait for it to be a reality and in my hands...hopefully with a bass tuggin on the other end;)

Well made my way over to bps and ended up leaving with one of the new carbonlites some devils horses and 9 bags of the structure bugs, not as bad as I was expecting but I "needed" all of it

Paid 160 for both brand new...

Oh boy. Impulse bought an aldebaran bfs xg. So obviously i need a rod to pair with it. I guess a phenix recon2 713ML is also on the way.

I have a sneaky suspicion you're going to enjoy that reel regardless of which rod you pair it with!

 

I picked up a few more jerkbaits (2 Storm Twitchin' Sticks, 1 GYCB and a Strike King) plus a bag of green pumpkin super flukes and a bag of watermelon chartreuse trick worms, plus some 30# Super 8 Slick for the PX68L I have coming from Japan. I also lucked into an Ito Shiner, an RC STX, a McStick, and 5 Rapala Xraps on the boards for a song. The stinking spring better get here fast or I'm going to need some more tackle organizers and another bag and then my wife will really be asking me if all of this is necessary. The real problem comes when she makes the call to the funny farm for a one way pick up... LOL!

Nice phenix rods are the best

Just got back from the Harrisburg outdoor show. They had more fishing stuff this year than last but not enough to keep me happy. Picked up some Zman finesse wormz. Since the shuttle bus was running from the same mall as the BPS I decided to drop in. Bought some Roboworms 41/2 in worms, KVD dream shots, and a pack of Berkley Powerbait drop shot minnows. If spring doesn't get here soon I'm gonna have to burn some coal in my front yard to advance global warming.

They don't make 1/4 oz bBooyah boo jigs anymore .. Only 3/8 ... And I bought three for that price anyways ...

Just placed a $75 parts order with Shimano for an upcoming reel build. Sent said reel out today to Trey Harpel to be supertuned and get carbontex drag. Waiting for Jun to email me back from Japan Tackle with an invoice for some other Jdm Shimano parts. Lastly I'll be picking up some Boca os7's for the reel.

Well I decided that 2015 was going to be the year I learn how to fish swimbaits, so I found a good deal on some Strike Kings and bought 4 Sexy Swimmers, 4 King Shads, and one Baby King Shad.
