For me it’s a no.5 Shad rap or Berkley Flicker Shad. You can troll (I despise trolling) those and you will catch everything in the lake.

The BEST multispecies baits are:

1. Berkley 2 inch curly tail grub with 1/8 oz jighead

2. Beetle spin

3. Miniature lipless crank

I see a lot of people saying grubs what size am I most likely to catch multiple species with? 2” vs 3 looking to catch trout, panfish and bass

1- inline spinner

2- small jig grub

3- small spoon

If I'm not fly fishing, which is most of the time

Mepps style in-line spinner

1/16 to a 1/4 oz jig with a 2 or 3 inch curly tail grub, depending on species and water depth.

3 inch Yozuri or Rapala minnow, floater or floating shallow diver(2 to 5 feet)

Fly fishing

Foam sliders that I can fish either as a top water or subsurface with an intermediate of sinking line.

In-line spinner of choice (I like Panther Martin, but Blue Fox, Rooster Tail, Mepps and CP Swing all have a place in my collection too)

Flutter Spoon (I like the Thompson Bouyant, but Johnson Silver Minnows and Kastmasters are great too)

Hair Jig (I am a fan of the zig jig, but there are plenty of great alternatives)

I 'd say that I have probably caught the widest diversity of fish on these three lures than anything else.

I dont have all of those species where I live so it cuts it down quite a bit. So I would go with:

Lipless - caught many species on these

3" Gulp minnow on a drop shot - caught bluegill, crappie, and bass on these. Thats all I have in most waters

1" gulp minnow on a 1/64oz Panfish Magnet jighead. I've caught the smallest sunfish up to a 2.5lb bass and everything in between with these.

Floating 1.5"   Rapala  or a 3" floating Rapala.

:any brand inline spinner (best with pink tail)

This post has been rolling awhile.  Would have said a ned style bait the first few times a read it, however I've been taking my toddler to the local heavily pressured pond to give him some quick 15-30 minute trips and the float and fly has been the ticket.  The constant action keeps him entertained.

Using a size 12 copper john or pheasant tail nymph has caught LMB, crappie, 3 species of sunfish, rockbass, and a trout.  Once I can get him to have a little more focus it will be a matter of time before I trick one of the large koi and carp into sipping it in.

1) mushroom head with trd/ticklrz

2)kietech style swimbait 2.8/3.2 impact/fat impact on a owner flashy swimmer

3)inline spinner

The best multi species lures are jigs.
