  • My dad or my grandfather. Because neither can fish anymore and we had great memories fishing when I was a kid.

  • Probably at least a couple dozen Bass Resource Members! Why? Why not!

  • None of them, famous bass fishermen don't impress me too much. I'd rather fish with guys from here, or my buddies. My dream day of bass fishing is when my kids get old enough/interested enough to

My grandpa would be the sentimental choice. Hackney, Martens, Andy Morgan or Jon Cox would be my choices from the pro ranks.

Bill Dance, no question. To answer the question why: It's Bill Dance.

Roland Martin

Aaron Martens, I wouldn't have to listen to him rattle on all day!

I always thought Scott Martin was cool. I'd fish with him (Probably not going to happen) ^_^

Me too - I like Scott.  Got to see him at the FLW event on Harris Chain earlier this month - he was a great guy.  Very nice to the kids and his fans.

Yeah - he was really cool.  I mentioned this in another thread, but as he was leaving...he stopped his truck and got out and asked a kid if they wanted a picture with him.  Then proceeded to get out of his truck and go over there and take a picture with the kid.  You know it made his day.  I gained a lot of respect for Mr. Martin after that...became an even bigger fan.  This was the Saturday after he failed to qualify.  A lot of guys would have hit the road and went home after being eliminated the day before.

Probably Greg Hackney, b/c he has such a great understanding of jig fishing and such and I would really like to learn from a pro.

I think zona and hackney would be a blast.

so many great choices.

1st:Deny Brauer or greg hackney- i love the way they flip gnarly mats

2nd: david fritts: that man can crank

3rd:kvd just because

4th:rick clunn all around great

5th:james watson he is a riot

My grandfather would for sure be first without a doubt, but since you stated a pro, it would have to be Ike just because his passion for the sport is addicting. He seems like he'd be a blast to hang out with for a day, and I loved his city limits show.

Second this post exactly.  I loved city limits fishing and I grew up across the river from Ike.  I read his book and realized that him and I fished a lot of the same water, so I'd love to do that with him.  He is such an addicting personality and his love for the sport and desire to help others fall in love with it almost mirror mine.  I'd also love to spend a day on the water with KVD because I  love his techniques and feel like he inspired the way I fish today.  I'd love to meet Zona because he cracks me up.

I'd go with KVD.  All of the pros know more information that anyone could possibly absorb in one session, but as Gerald Swindle once said in an interview, KVD is the most positive guy he knows.  Being around people with a positive attitude no matter what, makes things that much more enjoyable, even if it's a 0 fish, 20 breakoff day.

I've been away from fishing since my teens, and I'm almost 42 now.  Young at heart, I've relied more on the internet to get back up to speed on stuff I should have known before, or stuff I had forgotten, or new stuff that didn't exist back then.

From all of that, I've done a lot of youtube watching since it is the most accessible on-demand platform, and from a Pro perspective Scott Martin seems to have really embraced the format better/more than a lot of the "pros" out there.  Doesn't hurt that he's Roland's son (I didn't even put that together at first).  He truly seems to enjoy putting himself out there, all the time, not just when he's in front of a TV camera, or in a tournament or obligatory sponsor appearance.

After that, honestly a couple of the bigger Youtube guys would be my next pick.  Justin Rackley (LakeForkGuy), probably first, and if Rob Terkla (LunkersTV) happened to be there, it wouldn't hurt - those 2 seem to have a lot of fun fishing on the same boat.  They also share a lot of ideas/techniques without turning it into a seminar or sponsor plug every time.

If we went back to pros - after Scott, then Brent Ehrler or Andy Montgomery.

Randy Howell, besides a great fisherman, he is a super nice guy. Got to meet him when the Elites came to Barnett.

Scott Martin, my favorite.

Definitely al Linder or hank Parker.

in order

My father (original fishing partner)

Hank Parker

Bill Dance (both of the above because they are just decent people, with vast knowledge)

lastly, Iaconelli....he's as loose in the noodle as I am.

TackleJunky81 seems more of a better opportunity when both of us live in Illinois and also he cares on teaching versus just informing and promoting
