Crawfish imitation

Featured Replies

What's your must have crawfish imitation bait? Is it the Berkley Havoc? Or the Strike King Rage Tail craw? Or you got something different? What's your go to bait when the money is on the line?

To me, those are all separate questions lol.

I like the Rage Craw the best, although I'm not sure that it always imitates a cradad.

Rage craw has always worked well for me.

Biospawn vile craw

Rage craw and Chigger craw. Have had a lot of success on both!

My most use craw soft plastic is the power team lures craw d'oeuvre

Kinami (yamamoto) Psycho Dad. Just started using these and they are dynamite.

PTL Craw D-ouerve and Rage Craw are a close 2/3.

I use the Rage Craw and Havoc Craw Fatty equally.

Big bite swimming craw

and actually most of the time a zoom fat Albert twin tail is my go to jig trailer/crayfish imitator

For bigger fish I like the Rage Craws, for numbers of fish I like the Damiki Air Craws

beat me to it!!  they are fantastic baits!

Live lobster from the grocery store tank.

Big bait = big fish ;-)

Go big or go home!

All joking aside, I prefer the rage craws but for a jig trailer I really like the big bite chunks.

Rage,Baby craw,Regular craw,DB craw and lobster.Dont leave home without them.

Bigger Fish: Gambler Mega Craw

All Fish: Rage Space Monkey (all of their baits wrapped into one)

If it's just a great day I switch to Pit Bosses because they are super cheap.

Damiki Air Craw....There's something about those floating claws...and you can even put pieces of alka seltzer in the claws to make them bubble.

Chigger Craw. Most of my bigger fish last year came on this. All on black/blue

Zoom Super Speed Craw. This used to be my favorite but I can't find them in stores anymore.

Had to scroll all the way down to find the right answer. Speed Craw is king for me. I like the smaller size and not the super though.

How do you rig it? I use the Super size and the Chigger Craws T rigged. But the smaller (Ultravibe) is just a little too small for even my smaller EWG hooks. I've tried it on a shakey jighead but have better luck T rigging. I like to put a black glass bead between the bullet weight and the hook. I started because someone on here suggested it would protect the line from the tungsten weight. But I'm a believer now that the clicking attracts bites. I have since heard the same thing from Scott Martin.

After switching to the the Powerbait Chigger craw...Man, fish will hold on to that thing a long time! Even when they feel you, they won't drop it.
