Does anyone know if Barlows tackle does anything on Black Friday, even something like free shipping? I have a guess but thought I would ask before I checkout my order.

I picked up a 30 last year when they had the same discount. Excellent reel for the price, it's been rock-solid.

 

Might have to free up some funds to get another this year.

I bought 2 of them just got them Saturday a 25 and a 30

So this is essentially the President XT with some cosmetic differences, correct? I assume this is a BPS exclusive?

 

I bought a President XT last year and have been very happy with it. I don't need another reel but this is a really good deal. Might have to grab one.

BPS/Cabelas - unless you want to order a bit cheaper from a Malaysian site that I can't recommend, or from the auction site for more (Some people are asking over $100 for the XT-LE)

as far as I can tell they are the same except the handle knob is wood instead of cork and you have a different color frame.  they've been making the limited edition as far back as 2016.

Yeah, that's what I'm seeing also. Bait Monkey got me for one and made me add a couple of baits I didn't need so that I could get free shipping and the save10 code.

MidwayUSA is having a sale on Abu's Veracity rods, spinning and casting, 30~50% off.  The Veracity uses 40 ton blanks and PF's proprietary Powerlux 300, which makes rods with the same strength lighter. For ~$100, it's a very good buy IMO.

 

It also has Pflueger Supreme spinning reel 30 size for $64. This is an upgraded version of the President, with not aluminum, but magnesium body and rotor. That's a huge upgrade in my book, given the President is made of graphite.

Slow, Matt. Mine was used every canoe outing this past season...I'm still tempted to free up the cash to get another this year...gotta check the boat-budget though.

Do not buy pflueger supremes!  They don’t last.  I had 3 of them all go bad within two years.  Same happened for two my father bought.
