ive got a bunch of kistlers and I really like them. Couple helium’s and klx.    They are super light and sensitive.     I bought them 4 or so years ago.   Since then the price has almost doubled and in my opinion they have priced themselves out.   At that price point there are much better rods out there.  Helium is now close to $400 (depending on sale).    They love to say made in America but the blanks are made 6000 miles from Texas.

Wait, I thought their blanks are made by NFC, Mr. Loomis's company, are they not? Just curious.

I’ve been told they aren’t and it says that on their website but that’s not why I wouldn’t buy one today…..it’s the price point and I think they could use better quality cork.

Pretty sure Kistler was having issues getting their hands on NFC blanks so they went a different direction.

Yep bought Daiwa SV105 reel and Shimano cumara rod and got the discount.

Was Megabass ever included in the post-checkout discount?

Academy's website says they're running a sale for on-line orders only through Wednesday. I can't  quite figure out the details but I put a couple things in the cart and it looks like they're taking off 10-ish%.

 

Some things appear to be labeled as "deals" rather than getting a discount. For example, certain colors of Yum Dingers are showing up for $1.97/bag.
