Anyone know where you can still get the Perfect Pitch Megabass rod? Looks like it is sold out.

I did a bunch of looking a day or two ago and they seem to be gone for good.  It's nuts, last Saturday morning, I had them instock at like 3-4 places, then by Saturday night/Sunday Morning, they were all sold out.

The local cabelas had the SPRO Rat 50 for 23.99 in brown and morning dawn. Checking their website this may just be a we got lucky find. Hoping my wife picked one out to put under the tree. Already have a 30 I got on a BF deal to toss on my standard bass sticks.

Now today, the Senkos are $6.34, Rage Bugs are $8.49, and the Rage Craws are $3.22. Just goes to prove that WalMart's pricing is all over the place.

Interesting, I've made similar observations.  Both Amazon and Walmart use algorithms to adjust pricing periodically throughout each day in order to optimize the balance among anticipated demand, margin, and other motivations to sell (e.g. inventory clearance).

They also occasionally make wild mistakes: I recently saw a lunkerhunt crankbait that was marked down from $3,260/each to a vastly more reasonable $3.15/each.

Last Chance Tackle has Upton's Customs baits 30% off for their daily Christmas sale. I have a couple packs of his worms and they are awesome!

99.91% off is a pretty fair sale price!

They actually use crawlers to match price. Demand, profit etc are not factored in. They will match pricing at below their cost and then go to the manufacturer and tell them to make them whole.

My local academy had the Duckett 300 Baitcast reels on clearance for $59.98 in the 7.1.1 ratio. I didn't really need any new reels, but for that price I bought two.

Mine too - but I passed.  Had the Tatula CT-R in 7.3:1 for $99 - but I just bought 2 other reels, so no go for me there as well.

Just a quick note on the TW sale. I have been grabbing screen shots of the last 2 years as well as this years to do a compare and found that so far this year prices have been lower on most items that were also included in the sale last year.

Anybody use these yet?

Cabelas has some ridiculous deals on clothing right now:  Columbia, North Face, Carhartt, Simms, college football etc.  Sort Low to High and the deals start at $4.88 or search by brand name.  Use 7HOLIDAY for free shipping. eBates has 1% cash back.  (7HOLIDAY may have just expired but 7JOLLY is free shipping over $49)

Trokar hooks are the sharpest hooks I've ever used.  Better than the Owner, Gamakatsu, Mustad hooks, but, the hook point is shaped like the tip of a three-sided pyramid so they slice through plastics easier than other hooks.  That being said I'll only use them if it's a situation where I know bites will be difficult to come by and don't want to miss a fish.

I may be in the minority, but I hate using trokar hooks, or any "cutting point" hook design. IMO they work too well, the hook penetrates and cuts so easily it will slice a bigger hole than a standard hook in my experience which for me has meant lost fish. Don't get me wrong, hookup is insane, but I have a few trokar war eagle spinnerbaits and I've lost way more fish on those than the standard mustads (I believe) they use, and the ones I do get in I have noticed do have a bigger hole in their mouth. I also have bad luck with the hook points rolling upwards.
