Been pitching craws almost exclusively. Yeah, I agree. Gonna get to it this year coming up.

Probably a Carolina Rig. I used to throw them years ago but it has been a good while since I have fished one. I toss a crankbait maybe once or twice a year. Tried a scrounger head once and have never used it again. I have used most baits before just some are not used much or often at all.

Thanks to you I have one of these sitting in my Amazon cart. Haven't placed the order yet, but I'm a sucker for anything topwater so it's only a matter of time. This year I found a great place below a dam on a river for smallies that barely gets touched. No boat access and very limited bank access so it's a kayak fishing haven.

Here is anyother shocker; I have never really seriosly fished a weighted t-rigged worm.  

 

I even have three 3000 boxes made up as little kits for them at three sizes but have never given them their time on the water.  

ive never used a chatterbait, i own one but cant recall ever tying it on.

 

Also, i guess this thread has expanded from lures to techniques, because drop shot is not a lure in itself, just a technique...

I have not used several of the very popular Rage tail products like the menage or bug.........for no good reason other than I haven't yet. On the other hand, several Rage tail products are mainstays in my bag of tricks, like the single tail grub, the toad, and the shad.

 

I have not used any of the popular Koppers realistic looking stuff. Seems expensive to me, and I catch plenty of fish on less expensive more traditional looking baits.

 

Keitech baits are very popular around here, but I have never bought or used any.

 

Ned rigs have not found their way into my rotation yet.

 

There's a ton of popular Rapala baits I have never used, but also I ton I have like the DT's, shad raps, and x-raps. They always caught plenty of fish, but I get way more "duds" out of the box with Rapala than almost any other bait brands combined, and they seem to fall apart quickly on me. Kind of puts me off on buying any more.

 

I am not sure I have ever used a Bill Norman crankbait.............if I have it was along time ago, and I have no idea what it was.

 

I have never used any of the higher priced hard baits from companies like Jackall, Megabass, etc..

 

I have never bought/used the Gene Larew brand biffle bugs or heads, I do fish wobble head jigs with creature/craw/beaver style baits, just not the Larew brand.

A zerra spook for me. Anytime I hit the topwater bite I'm throwing a frog or jitterbug. 

Bronze eye frogs would be another.

For me, it's a skirted jig. To be honest, I did use one about 25 years ago and to my surprise, I caught a nice bass on one but I haven't used one since. Today, I've got a box full of them, but never pull one out. 

I haven't used a swimjig, per se. I've used most types of baits but not all the popular ones of each type. I haven't used a paddle tail or cut tail worm.

 How did you make up 3000 t rigged worms? I'm trying to picture how this is done seriously. Do you have worms rigged with hooks and a leader line pre rigged with a weight in like ziplock bags? 

 

As close as I ever came was I had purchased some hooks thinking they were like 3-5 in a pack supposedly came with bullet weights. Turned out it was 1 hook and 1 bullet weight per pack.  Taught me to not go so fast on the internet ordering. The only texas pre rigged worm is on my rods.  

The pop max (although that's about to change), chatterbaits, and lc gunfish.

Hah, I wasn't clear.  I meant three Plano 3000 series boxes.  Like this:

I make little self contained kits that I can just grab and go without worrying if I have forgotten anything.  

 

Tubes. Definitely tubes. No tubes for me.    jj
