Lemme show my age....and stir things up a bit.

Can't say I ever cared for King Diamond's voice. Hank Sherman and Michael Denner from Mercyful Fate were a fantastic guitar duo.

  • Two of my favorites .... Sierra Hull and Billy Strings, singing a Bill Monroe classic. I know this won't be most people's cup of tea, but I enjoy the talent.   We saw Sierra in concert last

A coworker put me on to these guys. Pretty good tune.

His voice is what drew me to it back in the day and as I grew older I actually appreciate the tenor/countertenor vocals more.

Hank Shermann and Michael Denner were quite a pair, but Denner and LaRoque are fantastic as well and Mikkey Dee is an exceptionally better drummer than Kim Ruzz. I also like that King went to telling whole spooky stories through the albums and strayed from the devil stuff. Helps that I've always been a fan of horror films.

Reminds me a little of Tom Waits' quieter moments.

I've been lucky enough to see Waits live twice. 1a and 1b for my favorite concerts I've ever seen. Can't say enough about it.

This is what I'm listening to while I work today. Love me some slow metal.

Topher - The Patriot... Great song, great message....

Let's hear it again..

I could listen to this one on loop for a while. Good description of life in Appalachia about 2 generations ago

She has a good voice. I don't like the way it was mixed.

Normally I dislike tribute songs - but this one struck a chord with me first time I heard it cause I know the story behind it.

I give that a 9.

Always loved the Skynyrd version.

A cover of the rap song Trap Queen. Bass style with homage to the ladies that fish.
