fun ride and significant because that’s 7 month old hazel riding with her daddy in the red canoe. Her first boat ride!!! (She already has 2 life jackets to choose from)

Had a couple passengers on the boat today, I think they really enjoyed their ride along.

For the fellow bourbon drinkers--if you ever want to do the "hard hat" tour of Buffalo Trace--do it. Amazing +/-90 min tour.

A bit eerie on the lake this morning. 70* water and 45* air. Winter is on its way.

Not as stunning as in other parts of the country, but not bad for a Southern California sunrise...

More on than in.  Little dogs are always the most ingenious.

Got into metal detecting about a year ago never found anything good. Sunday i went in my parents mostly wooded 5 acres and first target was a 1943 penny next target was a couple inches away. 1973 kennedy half dollar! It was about 6 inches deep and by the look of it its been there for a while! My parents have owned the property for at least 20 years.

My mom's side of the family is mostly farmers, with one of their specialties being watermelons. My cousin said their 4 acre patch was ready to go so I put my request in, was rewarded with a dozen monster super sweet watermelons. I've given half of them to friends, but I'll greedily guard the rest, with my life if need be, until I've consumed them all. This giant was almost 30 pounds, and I've eaten almost all of it in 4 days.

Got my first car about 4 months ago; '04 Corolla in great condition. Nothing special but it was a stick and a lot of fun to drive. Paid cash for it as well. Looks like after this weekend I'll probably be in the market for something else....somebody t boned me after forgetting to look both ways before pulling across the road. Never saw them until their hood was at my window. They hit right at my driver's side axle, drove me into a curb where I slid for about twenty feet till I came to a stop. A few inches back and I probably wouldn't be here to tell the story. As it was, no one was seriously injured and cars are always replaceable. Hopefully their insurance should cover a new vehicle for me.
