Favorite way to use a Trickworm?

Featured Replies

I have mostly used them Texas rigged, and with good success.  What is your favorite way to use them?  Shaky, Neko, wacky, split shot, something else?

All of the above. The Original Trick Worm with less salt is a great shakey head bait. The Merthiolate color weightless during the Spring has been a go-to for many years.

Shakeyhead and split shot rig are the 2 I use most.

Shakeyhead, drop shot, and split shot rig. Bigger 9"+ straight tails get the nod for T-rigs and C-rigs for me.

I don’t always throw trick worms. But when I do, I prefer split shot rigging.

There is no wrong way to fish a trick worm, but weightless t-rig is still my favorite.

I like to wear them as a mustache when I go out to bars to meet women.  That and a Texas rig are both extremely effective.

Note:  Don't use the bubblegum.  It just looks stupid.  Great for the T-rig though.

Weightless and weedless.

I prefer the finesse worm for shaky heads.

Drop-shot for LMB, but not so much for SMB.

Throw them on a t-rig with a 1/16 ounce sinker.

Weightless just below the surface.

Retrieval is similar to a jerk bait but less aggressive.
