  • This pic is actually from the first morning of the storm.    It's Lynn's crew on the way out the inlet in Scituate, MA. These surf boats, although no longer in service, were self-right

  • If we had that weather, there would be no milk available in the entire state

This winter has been mild on the west side of the pond. Never got below zero this year. Very little snow. crappy for business, but it's going to be an early ice out.

Yeah it hasn’t been bad here either. We’re at I think close to a 4’ deficit for snowfall this year. Just ready for sun and warm weather.

Going to be 55 on Sunday. They are saying this weekend will be cold compared to next weekend.

Upper 40’s low 50’s for us too. Add in sunny and breezy and that’s a recipe for some ice eating weather.

Seems about right.

Things are looking good here. One day in the next text is supposed to be in the 30’s and that day is 38-39. The rest of the days mid to upper 40’s to 50’s. Sunday prediction of 58. Most of the nights will be at or above freezing as well. The month of March is predicted to be above average temps as well. ?

Most of our nights the next week will dip below freezing, but daytime highs hovering around 40 most of the week, climbing to 57 for Sunday...at least that's what they're saying now.

Our weather forecasters talk about now being in meteorological spring. They say we had the 5th warmest winter on record and 14th for the least snowiest. We had 3.4" of snow this winter. This makes two years in a row I haven't had to use my snow blower. If our winter weather is going to stay like this I need to sell my snow blower to @A-Jay and let him teach his dogs how to use it.

Only had to shovel off the roof once last year and not at all yet this winter.

I'm good on the blower, but thanks for thinking of me.

When you get the lake effect snow, is it usually the light fluffy stuff or the heavy wet stuff?

Forgot to mention the coldest temp we've had so far this winter was 12*F. Sorry you have to deal with so much snow and cold. We have had so much rain I thought we might have to build an ark.

You should have a 'saying'.

Minnesota - "Don't like the weather? Wait ten minutes, it'll change."

I’m outside burning brush, enjoying the sunlight, and watching the channel open up.

With these temps over the next seven days there’s a possibility my lake might be open next week. Fingers crossed.

Like a bad hangover - that just won't quit, this winter continues to linger . . . .

And despite the full day of rain yesterday, there's a still a foot or more of snow out back

Holy cow, still a foot? After tomorrow our forecast looks promising, with temps climbing up to 60 by Wednesday. I think I might fire up the outboard Sunday, maybe hit the water.

Good Luck ~

Lynn & I were over in Petosky yesterday (pacemaker clinic--ugh) and there was a few small to mid sized waters on the way that were partial to wide open.

Not like that here though.

Menderchuck is still locked up tight.

Hopefully some of the rain and warm weather we have in the forecast makes it up to you.
