No disrespect to Ray Scott, but no man has done more for the sport of Bass Fishing than Forrest Wood, I’ll be praying hard for him.

Forrest L. Wood of Flippin, Arkansas passed away today. He was 87. He and his wife Nina founded Ranger Boats, and changed the world of bass fishing in too many ways to count. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be released shortly.

Rest in peace Forrest.

The world lost a legend.

It amazes me with all of the different  manufacturers, Rangers are still the benchmark that all other Bass boats are compared to.

Sad to hear that. Prayers to his family.

Forrest Woods qualified for the first Bassmaster Classic.  He was an angler who saw a need and created a better boat to address that need.  He was an angler first!  Some people are great at marketing,  some are great at building things,  some are great at running a business.  It's the ones that are anglers first that make the greatest contribution to the sport.

Thank you Forrest and rest in peace.

Sorry to read about his passing.

He lived a wonderful life and gave so much of himself to the fishing industry.

RIP Mr. Ranger.

Had the pleasure of meeting him 25 years ago.
