I Lost Some Weight

Time to brag.

Back in October, 2019, I weighed 220 pounds.

At my April, 2020 physical review with my doctor he told me I was still too heavy at 198 pounds and he had just started a weight reduction clinic and he wanted me to be one of their first patients, which I agreed.

So on May 1, 2020 I joined the clinic and weighed in at 194 pounds.

My goal was set at 175, what I weighed when I got out of the Army and got married.

As of today, December 20, 2020, I weighed 177 this morning.

I had hit and then exceeded my goal of 175 on Monday, December 10th weighing in at 173 pounds, but with all of the Christmas candy and cakes my wife made for Thanksgiving and Christmas I am up to 177.

Clothes fit great now and I can look down and see my feet!

Still trying for 170 in January so I have some work to do.

Once the rehab indoor swimming pool opens I will go back to swimming for my exercise unless I bite the bullet and go to Trinity High School and walk around their track.

If I can do it, anyone out there who wants to drop a few pounds can do it. It will not be easy and you have to give up some great things you are used to eating or snacking, but you can do it once you get started.

Merry Christmas!

Gotcha. I am going to try some trail running this winter, sunset at 5:30 is not compatible with an active lifestyle. In summer I go to bed at like 11 dead tired and sweaty. In winter I’m inside by 6:30 sweeping the floor for the tenth time. And not sweating

Congrats!

I lost around 60lbs last year and have been able to keep it off so far. It's hard to believe I looked like I did in my old pictures when I see them now. I hear you on those Christmas cookies too. There's about 200 of them in our kitchen right now and I have almost no willpower when it comes to sweets.

I'm in the same boat, I'm down 46.6 since September 1. I have no desire to cheat whatsoever. Congratulations on keeping it off.

I just look at this picture for inspiration, this was the guy I saw just over 2 years ago when I looked in the mirror.

Now I see this guy, from 240 to 180.

Awesome job!!

I was just over 300, my goal is 220. Projected that I'll get there around 9/25/21. I was around 210 when I came back from South America 20 years ago, and that's where I'd like to be.

Congrats. I lost 50 last year. I could stand to lose a few more. I feel so much healthier without the extra lbs.

Congrats Sam, not an easy thing to do to say the least.

Last year I lost 20 and have pretty much kept it off. For me it's a matter of sticking to my macros and getting in an intense workout 4 days a week after work.

Keep it up and I'm sure you'll reach your goal.
