When water temps are 60-65, what lure do you start out with most often?  What technique are you fishing? 

A JB, a lizard, a large popper, and as much as it pains me to say, a WP in a particular size, in a particular color, fished a particular way. Came across this by accident last year, and it's held up well.

Thanks for your thoughts! Any chance you will share more about how you utilize the wp?  

Super Fluke and Ned TRD have been really producing for us. But when the water hits 67(likely this week) the 130 will simply be unbeatable as the last 4 years have shown. It's the shad spawn and I'll have the Fluke or a WP in on deck until May. With a Bull Herring & Bull Shad tagging in at key big fish areas.

 60 to 65 degrees ? I dont know . I usually fish shallow in the spring so I  select lures that work well in shallow cover .  The same lures I use the rest of the year .

White 1/4 jig, pair of good polarized sun glasses and wide brim hat if bed fishing.

Wooden blue gill 5” swimbait, T-rig bullet weighed worm or creature soft plastic.

1/8 oz. PopR   with swapped out hooks, no feather, fished almost dead stick. Absolutely deadly.

I guess I'm a simple man. My go to is a senko.

What is a "130" and how do you fish it? Is "WP" a whopper plopper?

Interesting, I go the opposite way, I usually fish a rico sized popper most of the time, except during the spawn, then I'm reaching for the biggest I can find, and no feathers on a popper, I just can't do. 

I'll try the Hoosier rig and see how it does...

You're correct! It is a whopper plopper. The 130 denotes the length of the lure in millimeters (which is 5.1" in freedom units).
