Bass Abduction Tales - Do Other Fish Believe Them?

Featured Replies

It just struck me that a fish's experience when caught and released must be similar to those folk who claim they were abducted by space aliens! Are aliens just fishing for humans for fun?

When a fish is released do the other fish believe their story?

Has anyone ever come across a Youtube channel where fish discuss their abduction experiences?

Bob The Bass: "Like others here have said, it didn't look natural at all, but I tried to eat it anyways. I was compelled somehow. It was the strongest doggummed worm I've ever come across and it pulled me right into another dimension. Believe me, you don't want to experience what I did"

We assumed they told their friends that they were taken to "The Above".

Meanwhile the aliens are fishing for us...

"Dude don't let them see you, they got weapons! And you gotta release them a lot closer to the ground next time! I know it's funny, but..."

"Don't worry, it was just another cow"

"Way too many cows in this spot. Messin' up my probe. I mean why would a cow go for a cheeseburger? Seriously?"

"I'm tellin' ya, use the hoooot wiiiiings......"

"pffft...that's just hype..."

I think it's bedtime.

I have caught bass right at the boat, removed the hook and they were back in the water 4 seconds... is that a flash abduction? I always think to myself, "That bass has no idea what just happened "

Bob will say.. I swear my swim bladder was probed!! The thing called it fizzin. I was hooked to a machine that had numbers appear and said 2.3lb. And I was even called good eating size!!! ?

I don't understand why bass tell their friends and relatives to stay away from my lure, but it is ok to smash my friends all day.

I say the fish could live with the experience......up until the kissing and photo shoot began.

That’s it. You solved abductions. The extra terrestrials are fishing for us with levitation beams from space ships.

Me and my friend sometimes joke about what a fish thinks after it's been released (probably nothing at all). Just having fun.

Someone once asked me if I'd still fish if the fish screamed in pain and begged for mercy. So this thread was born. Or spawned. I guess. Ya I get weird sometimes :)

I think they go more low tech to make it challenging

I was on hold for half an hour last week and sadly, I drew this. Now you can write your own captions :party-drunk:.

alien 1: "Can't tell the cows from the people on my graph..."

alien 2: "That's why you should use hot wings! Cows hate 'em!"

alien 1: "Wings are good for numbers but I'm goin for a PB"

alien 1: " I like to drop a spoon right near the ice cream stand, I can usually pick up a human or two from there."

alien 2: "Thanks for the advise. Lately dragging a cheeseburger on a C-rig across the sidewalk and under the oak tree has produced some larger than average humans."

alien 1: " Cool! You should have been here yesterday, I caught a 500 pounder."

This is something my youngest son would say...

You are not too far off with what just may be the truth.  It has been said that when released, a bass will give off a “danger” pheromone that warns other bass.  That is why a lot of old timers will well a fish rather than immediately releasing it.

Very, very few people have seen a UFO, and what they claim they saw is highly questionable.

On the other hand, most bass have seen UFOs (boats) and/or aliens (humans). They would probably believe them.

Actually, I have had similar thoughts.  To you it's a fishing line, to the bass it's a tractor beam.  Two completely alien species interacting.  After I release a fish I think "now he's got a good story for the boys".
