Finesse Spinnerbaits

Featured Replies

Looking for lightwire hooks spinnerbaits, ideally between 3/16-5/16 oz. Suggestions? Is there such a thing?

Booyah has a good light spinnerbait. A Johnson Beetlespin can be good also.

Have you looked at the War Eagle finesse bait? I make my own so I get whatever I want.

I bought a few war eagle finness spinnerbaits in 5/16oz,actual weight is. 56oz and I really like them so far.

Booyah has a good one.  The dollar walmart spinnerbaits are good, the swivel needs to be upgraded though.

I bought a strike king finesse spinnerbait and the head was all messed up so I won't be getting another one.

Finesse spinnerbaits, LOL. Do you just let them sit on bottom and shake them? I love that the word finesse is being used for moving baits (power fishing) that weigh over 1/4 oz. Hahahaha

The War Eagle Finesse spinnerbait is the best that fits those specs I've found.

Are these hooks light wire? That’s what I’m looking for. I’ve looked at most the options mentioned.

I don't know whether you're talking head weight or total weight. If you're talking total weight, check out the Stanley 1/8 spinnerbaits in the Vibra-shaft and Wedge Plus lines. Deadly.      jj

I have a spot where they will actually grab a small spinnerbait (or anything else I'm sure) laying on the bottom. Answered the phone once, and thought it was a fluke, but no, go figure.

Own the Strike King Lil Mr. Money 3/16 oz. and Mann's Hank Parker's The Classic spinner bait 1/8 oz.

The Classic does have a very thin wire used for the frame.

Have caught a few bass for me ..

Good Fishing ...

Also blast from the past ...

I’ll check this out.

Ask Seibert to make you some using a worm hook instead of a spinnerbait hook.

I never had any luck with spinners.

Thanks.

Bait on the left is a Gamakatsu 550 4/0 spinnerbait hook, diameter about. 057. Right is a straight shank Gamakatsu 3/0 worm hook, diameter. 045.

I like a 1/16 or 1/8 BPS spinner bait. They’re fairly cheap and the hold up pretty good.

Zman slingbladez finesse

Zman Slingbladez is the only spinnerbait I throw but have not seen anything under 1/4 oz......not that I'd even throw it.

Thanks to everyone who replied.

I find myself in this market, too.  Stocks are really lean out there.

I hunted down a Booyah 1/8 oz (jighead - 1/5 oz total weight), and added a Z-man 1/4 oz.

Half-ounce spinnerbaits were a mainstay growing up fishing Canyon Lake.

Funny, I've never caught a fish on Beetlespin, though Lake Travis striper fishers swear by them.
