I love it when they use different bolts to attach the same items

 

Fenders:

One side had 3/8 hex bolts front and rear...that's fine...exactly what I would have used

Other side...front was a 3/8 socket head, rear was a 5/16 hex head

Walk back to the garage, then back to the trailer. Then back to the garage, then back to the trailer. Lather, rinse, repeat

At least it's only about 15' from where the trailer is parked to my tool-box.

Exactly why I use a cart, a mobile tool box or a tool basket.  I just bring everything I could ever need the first time.

It is a mobile tool box - but garage main door to sidewalk next to work area is 10' of grass...whoops

And garage to back door right in front of work area...there's a 2" step up...umm, not that way either.

 

Tool box is 2' from that step up...8' from door...closest I can get it.

Gotta love the 'wanna be's'. Put the canoe up on a site...less than an hour later had a 'buyer' who then proceeded to try a check scam on me. Reported them and told them to take a hike.

Sad world we live in some days!  Some people would rather take from others than go get it themselves!

I didn't even say where I posted it. You know there's dozens of places out there.

One other thing I did was finish removing the steel wool someone had shoved down the forward section of the trailer.

 

@TnRiver46: you'll get a kick out of this.

In amongst that were cracked open shells of acorns...seems chipmunks or small squirrels had been using the forward part as a stash point...didn't find any nesting, but the amount of cracked open acorns was impressive.

Hahaha! I see that a lot in crawl spaces, even mice will put little acorns anywhere. 

Once I get everything done on it, I'm gonna do a walk-around vid of the trailer.

Awesome work.  Smart too.  I know myself.  If I did the boat first I would never get around to the trailer.  That'd be sad.  Going to be great!

Nice job, Ken. I wouldn't just throw the spare in the back of the truck without locking it down somehow. It's getting harder to trust people these days.

Technically if it’s in the back of the truck, someone could snipe it.

 

If it’s bolted down on the trailer, that might be a slight deterrent.

Or put it in the rear of the extended cab - took the rear seat out to turn that part into cargo space.

OMG, how can you drive around with that and the rusty leaf springs.

Not enough leeway to replace the leaf-springs...they're still fully functional, so it's a 'maybe next year' thing.

Is it sitting on the trailer in there? Looks like the perfect size area in the garage to work on it. Even in the winter.

Ya, it's on the trailer...leveled port/starboard and fore/aft.

Couple spots it's a little bit of a squeeze - but the garage is small enough that the space heater I have will keep it working-temp even in Jan or Feb.

 

I was also standing right in front of the door into the basement work-shop area when I took the pic...so that's another plus.

 

 

BTW: Last seat is out, and all the leaves that were sitting in there have been 'vacuumed' up...just about filled the bag on my leaf-sucker...course until Sunday it'd been sitting under a tree that's already lost most of it's leaves.

Close to being done setting the feet. To keep them in line bow-to-stern, I'm using my 'long straight edge'. Set the foremost one, set the rearmost one, place the straight edge between those and set the rest against the straight edge...and they all line up.
