I have a warranty claim in with G. Loomis on a 873 CRR. It will be a while before I can get it. In the interim, I picked up a new NRX+ 873CRR as my primary jig and worm rod.  I will likely replace my 7’3 Poison Adrena with the warranty rod. This rod is my do-it-all rod. I throw everything from underspins, scroungers, t-rigs, swing heads, flashy swimmers, spinnerbaits, etc. My question is, if you could have only one Loomis rod, what would it be? 843? 844? 903? 904?

I only have them in IMX but the 843C are by far my favorites.

If I could only have one Loomis rod my choice would be the Asquith 490-4 fly rod. 

 

But of the choices you offered, I'd pick the 844C MBR as it would fit how I fish quite well.

893 is tops for me with the 852 being a close second. 

903C i like the extra length for casting

It's not my favorite rod by any means, but if I only was able to keep a single bass rod, a 844c would be the pick with very little thought.  The 783c would be a very close second though. 

I'd say the 843C, but it's a hard call because I really like my 844C and 783C, too.

Yeah hard to beat an 843 but it depends what you want to do with it.

783c conquest or equivalent. Glx's are nice but don't let anybody fool you. The conquest is ?. The weight to power ratio is unreal. In my hands the glx is heavy in comparison. 

The responses are sort of confirming my thoughts and problem. About half a 3 power, half a 4 power. I should have been clearer in my original post about the fact the with my warranty claim being on a NRX, I need to stick with a NRX. I am leaning towards a 903C or 904c.

The only nrx that's locally located is a  916 I think, but if I had a choice it would be a 904c. I have a glx 894 and love it also a conquest 844c mbr that I love and I am hoping to have my 843c mbr conquest back before the opener next year. Out on warranty ?it's been 5 long months so far, my local store sent it in for me so I have no clue. 

854.  Doesnt seem to get a lot of love, but its one of my favorites.  It is fairly close to the 873 you already have though.
