  • The Silver Buddy is one I actually carry and regularly catch fish on. I break out the Mann's 1 minus & Fred Arbogast Mud Bug when I'm feeling nostalgic.  I can't find my pink Rattle Trap

Top water-  it's a toss up between a Hula Popper and a Jitterbug.

Subsurface- Senko,  though the Fin-s would be second

That old school  Larew Salt Craw pitched to cover with a 5/16th ounce weight will catch limits . That seems like to much weight for some folks but it will get bit . Black and chartteuse in the spring ,  black and blue when the water warms and clears up a bit .

mepps 0 or 1......... sometimes with the hair tied on treble. the new ones seem to be identical to my 50 year old mepps.... many other old time lures seem to be not as well made nowadays, or made of different materials than in the old daze

I always loved the spinnerbait and 4" T-Rig grub combination.

Spinnerbait was always a short arm version, usually a Colorado blade. If fish rolled on it, you followed up with a grub.

Shad Rap

Ball jig and curly tail grub
