He would do a tiny ~1/8 oz size that is dynamite on smallmouth in the rivers. A tied bucktail skirt is the ticket. You had to use a spinning rod (bfs would be an option now) and the wind resistance of the blade limits casting distance a bit. Using a plastic trailer would add weight without resistance.
