I have two Tatula 7'1" Heavys, and I do pretty much ALL of my jig fishing and some of my creature bait fishing with them these days. Pitch with them, skip, cast a frog sometimes. Good rods. 

 

I don't have any Elites, but that 7'3" MH at Midway is calling me hard. If I didn't already have a 7'3" MH Tatula, it would be ordered.

I have no idea, I've never fished a Magdraft.  Rod will be here tomorrow, I'll throw some stuff on it and see what it handles.

Its got to be different because they have a 7'3 MH F and the 7'3 MagMH F in most of their lines.  The MagMHs have are rated for stronger line, but same sugg weight range.  The 7'3 MH F has some tip to it, but I would imagine the MagMHs have the or slightly more tip, but have more power on the lower end.  

 

Not quite our use case, but I'd bet $1 that the resonance (or whatever that is) extends to bass-length rods too.

I can't speak to the other lines, but I have the Money Maker from the Tharp line and a 7'3" Mag MH Lancer. The Lancer has Mag MH printed on the blank and it's the same blank as the MM. Now days the Lancer is listed as a MH on Ark's site, and the MM always has been so...???

I have several of those rods already, the 7' MF spinners are my go-to river smallie rods and they are awesome!  I'm a sucker for real cork grips.  I've fished more expensive rods in the same range and always come back to my Tatulas.

I’ve always been a Shimano guy but bought a Diawa BassX from a member here and really liked it sooooooo, just got a new Tatula 6’ 10” MXF Spinning rod for exactly the same thing, river smallies!

I too am a sucker for cork handles. However I was dissatisfied with the very small, tiny, hook keeper, almost useless. And was really surprised by the micro guides on it too. 
However it is a very nice rod.

Received my 7'1" H yesterday, looks awesome and has plenty of rear-end for what I'm going to do.  Went ahead and ordered the 7'3" MH as well, for that price it's the best deal going.  I need a bigger garage ...

Yessir mailed that yesterday as well.

Tatula Elite 7'3" arrived yesterday, paired with an SV.  This is going to be a great all-purpose stick, even with 3/8-1/2oz jigs, swim jigs, etc.  Can't believe Midway had that sale!

In my opinion EVA Grips cheapens a rod!

I'm not doing it myself. I'm fine with it as it is, even though I prefer full cork, but what does that cost typically?

You can, but its a pain.  Foam stretches so you can slide it on from the butt end of the rod with a little glue and working it over.  Cork doesn't stretch so you need to ream the cork out large enough to fit over the very butt end and then shim it to that size for the rest of the length with arbors or tape.  If the butt is much much bigger than the area in front of the front grip then there is a big rap that you might not be able to hide easily with a check and have to do something really custom like a built up epoxy and thread winding check.   Alternatively, you can strip the guides and rebuild the entire rod, but that's a pain in the butt and its really hard to make it look like a new rod.  That would also cost a ton.

Sounds like way more trouble and expense than it’s worth.
