Form follows function.     But if you can get both, go for it.

  • Looks? Don't really care. But I do have a thing for twins ever since one particular school dance.?

I fish a mix of stuff. I like pretty rods and reels, but I also use a Proficiency rod from Walmart that has its front half in orange/brown camo. It casts good though, and I can hit what I aim at.

Looks is the last thing I consider, and not a deal breaker.

Sometimes I look like I dressed in the dark, but when it comes to rod/reel aesthetics, even I have my limits And this one would be a hard "no".

Absolutely. Especially when the item is expensive, then everything is taken into consideration.

Early 2000s Megabass rods were the best thing the fishing industry has ever seen😎

Super important?  No

I have been known to pair a rod and reel if they both have the same accent colors.  I never liked putting a Daiwa Ballistic (red accent color) on a Dobyns Champ HP (orange accent color) but I still did.

forgot about this thread!!  now?  I have four Megabass setup riding shotgun in my kayak.   I still have my butt-ugly spinning thing going, humbling the arsenal.

That circular drag adjuster is just sexy to my eye..

Yes.. Pretty important to keep rods and reels free from scratches.. Keeps resell value high when I need to upgrade... I fish alot but do care for my gear... Rod sleeves and reel covers on them during transport...

Thanks.  Bright River makes the part, and give credit to Lefty Kreh for making the first for his Ambassadeur - they sell the part both for Isuzu and Ambassadeur
