Congratulations to Gussy, and all Canadian angler's!

As a member of the Canadian anglers club myself, I’m not sure exactly what I’ve personally done to be congratulated, but thank you @volzfan59, I’ll take it ?

I just know that you guys are happy and proud of Gussy, that's all. I'm a huge University of Tennessee Volunteers fan. When ever the Vols won a big game, a lot of my friends congratulate me. Basically, I'm happy for y'all

Atta boy gussy! I was nervous watching, he usually had a limit by lunch doing that

I half-expected one of the guys fishing shallow back in the creeks to run into a couple and sneak into the lead, but it never happened.

I bet that was a rough ride back for Gussy, though. An hour with nothing to do but think about all the ways it could come apart.

Phew.

From Jay Kumar's Bassblaster

1. When's the last time you won a tournament with 2 fish on the last day?

> "I can't say I've ever won a tournament without having a limit on the last day. I did not even think I had a chance coming back [on day 3] – the boat ride home was horrible. The worst feeling ever.

> "I couldn't believe it ended the way it did. Looking at all the past Classics, somebody always catches them big on the last day."

Congrats Jeff Gustafson! Crushed smallmouth on 4" Z-man Jerk shadz in smelt.

Jeff's been doing that dangle deal for a while.

And James Linder's been doing it for longer than that.

I had a contractor a few years back say, “it’s good to see other Canadians around here!” I told him I wasn’t Canadian and asked what made him think I was. He said he heard me say “eh”. I told him some of us Michiganders say it too. My stepdad says it and I’m must’ve picked it up from him at a young age, or all the hockey I watched growing up. It’s a little more common in northern Michigan and the UP than central/west Michigan where I am.

I definitely don’t use it after every word like you guys do, I mostly do at the end of a question.

I used to live in Wisconsin and now in Missouri. Down here they say anything above the Mason Dixon line is Southern Canada. So Heck ya A home town boy took it .?North to some of these guys is KC

Haha, yeah I think it’s definitely a northern thing, but in all honesty most people here don’t actually say it as much as everyone thinks. It’s not like it’s used in every sentence like you see on tv sometimes. I’d go into more discussion about accents and vocabulary, but I gotta go get ready to watch the Leaf game eh! ??

Al Lindner made a FB post about Gussy's win...remembers fishing against Jeff way back when...like this pic of Al with 16yo Gussy and his fishing partner.

May be an image of 3 people and people standing
