Zodias or Exbride?

Featured Replies

I'm going to gift myself a rod for my birthday coming up. This rod will be for weightless senkos for the most part. Which would you choose for sensitivity? 6'10" mhf more than likely.

I also would choose Expride, even though I don't like cork. Brian.

Coincidentally, my friend also just got himself a bday present last week, a zodias. The carbon handle is actually nicer than I thought.

Both rods are amazing. Obviously if you can swing the extra dough, go Expride. I have both A and B models. The A's are outstanding. The B...just a masterpiece of a rod. Functionality and looks are top notch.

Its your birthday and deserve the best...go for Poison Adrena.

An Ex Bride would not sounds bad on a birthday as long as it is not yours ?

Before I bought my two Zodias rods I looked at a Poison Adrena.  Both are nice rods.  The quality and sensitivity are outstanding.  I chose the Zodias because I couldn't see the price difference between the two.  The ZDC610MHA is perfect for Senkos. Mine has a Shimano Chronarch MGL 150 HG on it and it's a great combo.

If you want sensitivity for senkos, then go poison adrena.

I didn't find any of the Zodias models to be all that sensitive- I no longer own any Zodias rods.

The exprides are better. The expride B in the 6'10" med has a fast enough action and a stiff enough backbone that it would make a decent senko rod. The A model in the 6'10" was slightly more limber and I wouldn't recommend it for soft plastics.

The poison adrena 6'10 med and 6'11" med + , both would probably work for you. Both are super lightweight and fairly sensitive.

- “should I get a Zodias or and Expride?”

The 6'11"+ is a great rod, very sensitive and the extra power is great for T-rig senkos. If you are already willing wo pay 280 for an Expride, what's another $100 bucks..??. ?

Used at ALF for less than an expride.  Great rod, might be my fave.
